Should I put in thicker diff fluid or thinner diff fluid?

putting in thicker oil would just make it so both wheels will pull harder less fluid would make it so it goes into one wheel wonder mode. if you are running in really loose dirt maybe different tires? actually i don't think it will matter what kind of diff fluid you put in really for that but you could put in a spool.

if you are gonna race then there is gonna be alot of trial and error. you can get new diffs on ebay for about 10 dollars so you could always purchase a couple extra ones and have different weight oil in them then mark them and you can do a quick changeout if you want lesser or greater weight oil in a certain diff.

Just out of curiosity what tires do you run? I may run a couple of races this year and then try it full time next spring. Thanks!

they bolt right on my savage so it is the stock hex and the tires are a lil on the smaller side they are 5 1/2 inches high. and extremely light compared to the stock tires on the savage. and i will let them go for 30 dollars i supposed i better put them up for sale on here and you can pay me that way if interested. i would accept pay pal or money order. then all you gotta do is give me your address and off they would go.

those tires are more for hard packed surfaces. you want bigger lugs for loose dirt
