revo 3.3 or t-maxx 3.3?
My father and I have been playing around with a little chinese truck we bought off the internet and have had terrible luck with it. We have had to buy a new motor, come up with new and improved ways to use this motor and have gotten to the point where we are thinking of getting something new. I have been given the responsibilty of finding out in this market which truck is best and most fun to play with. We are looking for a truck with most if not all of the following charisteristics: good suspension, quick delivering speed, fast braking, great durability, quick agility, user friendliness, easy to tune, easy to work on, cheapest parts, and the quality of product. All posts are most appriciated.
Thank-you

Whatever choice you think you will be happier with, go for it!
A week ago, last Saturday, I purchased a T-Maxx 3.3 because it'd be easier to work on, for me.
Read up on everything you can & from there decide which is best for you.

RE: revo 3.3 or t-maxx 3.3?
there is no wrong truck of the two.
there both awsome.
i was in the same boat a few months back,
i went with the Tmaxx .but not at all because it was better that the REVO.
i wanted a classicly desighned RC truck. and the Tmaxx is a flat pan chassis truck with 4 sets of big ol A-arms and a motor in the middle of it. nothing special and easy to understand and work on. and ton and tons of cheap parts for it. every one and there cousin has a shoe box full of old tmaxx parts.
the Revo is a new model monster truck with state of the art suspention.i would rather race a REVO than a Tmaxx.not because it is a MPH speed thing ,it would just have better suspention. there all about the same speed....TO DAMN FAST!!!
Revo's are bad to the bone..but i love my hot rod old school simple and super fast hoped up bash truck.
but i will get owned on a race track by anyone. It don't help any that i don't know how to drive fast around a BMX track. but the revo is just better race equipment than a tmaxx.
but the 3.3 tmaxx does not suck! it is a lightning fast monster truck, that is built for fun.and to me it looks more like a monster truck.
you canot have one best truck. i want them all. revo, savage, muggy, you name it. but you have to start some were.
both are great truck to start with. and traxxas makes it easy for a beginer no matter what traxxas you get.
traxxas keeps the fun factor high. with easy start and this and that. they just make a good toy period.
get the dang REVO what the heck it is one bad SOB. just get the 3.3 what ever you get.
but if it was me today.....i would have to buy a losi muggy. that thing looks like a winner.
but don't forget that there is more to a truck than how it works on a race track. for playing around there all great. and the tmaxx 3.3 is not even at all slow. there are crazy fast stock.and then you put a big motor like a picco max in there,WATCH OUT!!!

The Revo 3.3 is no piece of cake to work with. The unique suspension geometry is tricky to work with.
Its a great truck, the suspension and way things are crammed makes it just a little bit difficult. That chinese whatever thing you named is nothing if you want add it to your resume R/C experience. Its your money go for it, just be patient when things start breaking and benchtime creeps on you for hours.

What are you going to do with the truck? Do you want to race? Do you want to have something to play around at the park with? If you don't know the answers to these questions, do you have a hobby shop nearby wth knowledgeable staff? If so, i'd suggest you go there and see the trucks that they sell and the ones that people bring in to be looked at. They can show you stock versions of most of the trucks on the market usually as well as a few hopped up racers and bashers. Before i say which i'd rather have, I need to know from you what you intend to do with it.

RE: revo 3.3 or t-maxx 3.3?
well i hate to say this cause i voted for the revo cause it is the better of the two. i have a savage as well which is an awesome tough truck to beat the heck out of. i used to have a t-maxx that i bought brand new ran for about a year and a half and well took a loss on big time cause i got sick of always having to upgrade it. if you want something that has a million upgrades and is simple to work on then t-maxx is your champ. i personally like the revo and savage about the same each has it's own characteristics where it shines. still wanting to join a losi lst2 to the lineup but can't come up with the benjamins right now.

Neither...if I did it all over again, I'd just buy a 1/5th scale gas Baja Buggy.......cheaper fuel, longer run time, no after run maint, stronger vehicle.....just less trouble.

RE: revo 3.3 or t-maxx 3.3?
Well i have had both of them both in 3.3 's and i liked the Revo better.
But i run mostly on pavment and the T-Maxx wanted to flip over all the time till i lowered it then it would bottom out all the time if you ramped it any. The Revo handles great on the pavment ( it still will flip from time to time but not like the T-Maxx ) and it handles jumps great. The T-Maxx was my first nitro truck it was a simple truck to work on. The Revo is not bad to work on just a little more crowded in the chassis.
just my $.02

Honestly, go to a local track/bash area and see both trucks in action and ask if you can drive to see what you like better.
Glad I went Revo, it runs circles around T-Maxxes plus it can race outa the box.
