RE: new motor (stampede)
Hey Matt,
I am interested in upgrading my motor too.
I see that Traxxas has a brushless upgrade kit but the thing is $300.00 You'd think it might be a little cheaper but it is a complete kit.
Anyway, I joined the forum in hopes that I might find someone that knows of a combo that works and has already been released.
Check it out.

I've been through this and if you dont want to be rebuilding motors every 5 mins you'll have to go brushless. I bought a nice modified 19t Checkpoint motor and regretted it - I am now changing to a Novak XRB 10.5 system after getting lots of advise on the general elect forum.
Good luck.
Good luck.
