Default new motor (stampede)

hey i just burnt my titan 12t motor...........so i am looking to hop it up after 2,3 months.....now.....what motor do i get...however i want about a pretty fast one...does this meen i have to change ma speed control?

it depends on what speed control you have already?

if you got the old mechanical one i would say deffo upgrade it

Hey Matt,
I am interested in upgrading my motor too.
I see that Traxxas has a brushless upgrade kit but the thing is $300.00 You'd think it might be a little cheaper but it is a complete kit.

Anyway, I joined the forum in hopes that I might find someone that knows of a combo that works and has already been released.

if u go wit the traxxas brushless system, just get a whole new pede cuz its only like $40 more. im just wondering (if you get the lipo battery pack too) how well it would handle

see i dont want to go brushless yet
i am just going to get a 15t motor with extreme speed and torque...just so it matches my xl-5!

thats all u need to do..i think thats the way top go

I've been through this and if you dont want to be rebuilding motors every 5 mins you'll have to go brushless. I bought a nice modified 19t Checkpoint motor and regretted it - I am now changing to a Novak XRB 10.5 system after getting lots of advise on the general elect forum.
