T-Maxx clacking sound
3 months on the shelf and today I had time to start it up and give it a spin!
the thing is that when it started to roll... its giving me that clacking sound?! I dont know if my diffs have problem or my transmission... it still runs great but that clacking sound when Im about to go bothers me... seems like something is about to break! any thoughts on what causing that clacking sound?

I was working on a buddy of mines t-maxx same thing had been shelved for over a year the clacking noise was coming from the transmission as it was trying to engage however with a bit of run time and some tuning it went away. So you might wanna give it a little tuning and see cause what I noticed was it was the hesitation on the throttle that was causing the noise from the tranny. This was with one of the older first gen t-maxxes

yeah, super cheap, just drive it... theres a kit but i dont know the details, wast of money imo.. it doesnt hurt anything, it will do it less if you pull the throttle quicker, it only does it when first taking off..

as said before it's just the clutch in the transmission, you can buy the forward only kit if you wan which removes the clutch, but there isnt a problem there at all so in my mind theres no point buying the kit, just a wast of money.

yes, thats what ttoks just told you, it is a forward only conversion, it costs 11 bucks and if you install the kit the clicking will stop. but you will have no revurse. you have to buy the kit you cant just remove the gear.but, if your selling most new people look at revurse as a plus.
