Default Thinking of a change, how much are my trucks worth? 56K WARNING

Lately I've been thinking about selling my trucks and getting something different, but I'm not really sure what they're worth. I have a T-Maxx and an E-Maxx, and I would like to sell them together if possible, so I thought I should ask some opinions of what I should be asking. Here's what I have...

The T-Maxx is a 2.5 with a brand new 3.3 engine, I ran 5 tanks of break-in and haven't run it since because the weather has been too cold and then I decided to sell it. I didn't even tune it, it's still at factory break-in settings. It has the Traxxas rechargeable receiver hump pack and also has the 3.3 chassis and 3.3 grey parts (bulkheads, skids, chassis supports, receiver box, battery box, and servo mounts). The E-Maxx is the older style 3906 (widemaxx) with the stock Titans and Traxxas/Novak EVX ESC. It also has 3.3 grey parts (bulkheads, skids and chassis supports) and a set of brandnew RPM skid/wear plates. Both trucks also have the Traxxas wheelie bar installed. I have a single JR XS3 synthasized radio with rechargeable transmitter battery pack and have full JR servos (Z570 for throttle/Brake and shift, and Z590M for steering). The T-Maxx has a JR synthesized receiver but the E-Maxx has a Hitec receiver with crystal. I have 2 new SMC Enduro Maxx 3600mAh battery packs (been run twice) and 5 Duratrax 1500mAh sport packs. I have an MRC super brain 959 charger and all the adapters to charge everything, and the ez-start for the T-Maxx and a Traxxas fuel filler bottle. I also have the original Traxxas 2.5 engine (still runs), an extra body for each truck (worn but use-able) and other misc. spare parts as well as air-filter oil, after-run oil, shock oil, etc. If I sell them locally I've also got what's left of a gallon of Traxxas 20% fuel (about 1/2 I think), I'll try to take some pictures of everything tomorrow. You can see some pics of the trucks in my profile. Everything is extremely clean and in good condition, they don't even really look used.

Ok here's some pictures. Sorry but I couldn't figure out how to make them clickable thumbnails. If someone can tell me I'll change them. The E-Maxx is a little dirty right now because I let someone try it out today, but it'll be cleaned up again. I have OCD......lol.

No it's not waterproof, but I did put the servos and receiver in balloons, and have a showercap to put over the whole chassis to protect the EVX. I just did that a few days ago and haven't run it but I've seen other people that do it and it supposedly works great.

Anyways thanks guys. I may try to stick them on ebay, I just hate shipping.

My guess would be you could get about $250 for the Maxx and $200-225 for the Emaxx. That is just the trucks with servos, not including receivers. $50 for the spare 2.5R, $100 for the XS3 + 2 FM receivers and $50 for the charger/batteries.

My guess is that you could get $675 or so for the total lot. Is that about what you expected or totally depressing?

No actually I was hoping I could get $650 for the whole lot. I put them up on craigslist and had some interest, but everyone always wants one or the other. I was hoping to sell them together, but I guess I'll have to split them up.

a new emaxx (old ones) were going for $300
a new tmaxx 3.3 is $430

if you get half your money back you're in good shape 215+150=365 total

used rc's aren't worth much

a used nitro motor is always a gamble, as is anything used

So, by the way, what are you thinking about getting when you sell these trucks?

This is the wrong fourm for this. This question has been battled many times in the Electric Offroad fourm. Do a search there.

Well my wife has convinced me to keep my Maxx's.

I've been thinking about selling them because I don't really need two trucks and I get bored not having anyone to run with. Also I haven't found a good bashing spot since moving to Washington and have been running them in a parking lot (boring). I was thinking about buying a truck like the new Losi 1/8th Raminator (match's my 1/18th Raminator) to have when I feel like driving, and using the rest of the money to buy a helicoptor since I've really been missing flying lately.

Well yesterday out of the blue my wife told me that I should buy a second controller so she could drive the E-Maxx while I drive the T-Maxx. I told her I thought she didn't like driving them and she said it's too boring just driving them around but if we find a place with some good jumps and stuff she'd really like it. So I went on ebay and bought an XS3 Pro and now I've just got to find a good bashing spot.

I also told her wanting to get something to fly again, so she went out last night and bought me a Blade CX2. [sm=teeth_smile.gif] I love my wife......lol
