RE: roll cage
this is the same one i have and it realy takes a good beating,, mounts to the bulkheads and eliminates the bulk head braces, realy beefs it up

RE: roll cage
heres a link to the ebay store of he seller whom i bought mine from, i thing i got mine for like 20 bucks it's the steel/chrome one,it was aparently a "scratch and ding" cage,, but i didnt find a mark on it,, it's very light, and does a great job of protecting.
they also sell them in stanless steel, but i would guess they would weight more

RE: roll cage
I had a very simmiler cage as that, and landed on the lid a couple of times and it bent really bad(doing flips) and I bent it back. I did that twice and it broke.I would not recomend that style. if it was better cossed braced at the windshiled and over the rear wheels,it would be an awsome cage.
Just my 2cents.

RE: roll cage
I use a VGRacing cage on my T-Maxx. It's made of super tough steel wire and mounts between the bumper and bumper brackets. I have the RCRaven cage( the one in the E-Bay link above) on my LST. It bolts to the bulkhead area and is made from softer steel that bends. The rear section is all out of whack and the chrome plating is chipping off.IMO, the VG cage is a better design, and in a crash the impact is not transferred to the bulkheads.

RE: roll cage
yeah and the rear mount is kind of a "hinge"
i have my rear mounted solid,, and the front i drilled the mounts out a little and have a tight pin and it's setup so that it's qwick release, you just unhook the lock, pull the pin, and you can flip the whole cage up out of the way to work on the truck.
