I doubt that they will come out with a new one either anytime soon because just as the above poster mentioned they did come out with that limited production race-ready Revo....although I gotta admit it would be interesting to see what else they may have up their sleeve....[)]

i'm guessing that they'll tell you something like

" we are always looking at and developing new products however, due to the nature of this business, we make it a practice not to talk about what may or may not be in research and development"

that's my guess
anybody got a different idea?

be sure to tell us exactly what they do say

Actually I'm not totally sure which servo u are referring to but in any case I talked to a supervisor in the tech dept. this morning about it. I had a pretty lengthy discussion about it. and they said they are sending me a new one with the newest opti-drive, but i told them that it has been known to make aftermarket spektrum radio glitch from time to time. and they told me to try it anyway. So I guess I shall see what happens once I get the new one. Havent decided though if i am gonna put the opti drive back in though or not because imo its just a waste of battery draw and a waste of space etc..

oh i'm talking about the forum about your revos shift servo, and nitrovenom said that the hi-tech HS-55 sub micro servo should fit?, but about this opi-drive when did they come out with a new version? and i thought you had to run opi-drive with that two speed transmission to make it shift? if you can't tell i dont know much about traxxas[X(] other than what i see on there website and my brother in laws t-maxx, and what i read of course.

the opti drive is not to let (or help) it shift
it's to prevent shifting from forward to rev while the truck is moving

there are two versions

the older was basically
just a sensor

the newer version has a failsafe built in too

either one can be removed w/o affecting truck operation
you just have to be careful to stop completely before shifting
if you remove it

I have a Revo 2.5r... and even though they released the Revo 3.3 after it... I'm still satisfied.... I'm even thinking about buying a 3.3 chassis, brace, and driveshafts... not because I necessarily want a 3.3 Revo... but because my chassis is bent.... and instead of paying the same amount for replacement parts, I'd rather upgrade.

Its been a while since they updated the revo,so dont be surprised if they release a new version.Im not talking about the race version but a more affordable and updated version.

Hello,

I don't know. Our Engineering department does not release information on what they are planning next. Just keep an eye out on www.traxxas.com since that is where our new product information shows up first!

Well they need to give some hint at least saying ' we are coming out with an improved product' or something like that so at least we have something to hope for[&:]
