Default Who still uses their EZ Start?

I'm curious who still uses the EZ start on their motors...whether it be a TRX motor or after market....also, if another method, please comment as to why you switched (ie any problems that occurred with your EZ start). If you do still use it, have you had any problems with it?

I still use the complete system on my Jato 3.3. I know there are better alternatives but I haven't gotten around to changing it.

I still use the complete ezstart system on my Revo 3.3., minus the glow plug wire. I decided to cut the blue wire off completely and go with a much more powerful 5000ma glow plug driver in the form of a rechargable D-cell hot shot 2, and so far it works EXCELLENT, much better imo than the on-board igniter...[8D]

I used it until the plug wire got ripped and I went through my 50th OWB, then I switched to a TigerDrive, which everyone dogs on RCU, but I've had no problems with.

i use the complete system still, minus the blue wire. i use a glow plug igniter now. the ez start motor kept falling out of the ez start case and the threads on the motor where the 2 screws hold it stripped out so i just zip tied it in there and it works great. i'll eventually switch out to another system, but this works fine for now. never spend more than 10 seconds to start my truck

I'm really surprised how many people are still using the EZ start system. I see so many on here bashing it. I'm running EZ start minus the wire that got torn going to the plug...I may use some shrink wrap and keep using it...we'll see.

I use a pull start just because imo its less hassle and reduces weight.

Same here, I have the T-Maxx-D and I use a tiger drive to start that. The EZ start fried itself trying to turn that over against compression.

My Tiger drive socket on the back of the motor stripped out after a while, and sullivan shipped me a new one no questions asked. Very happy with it. I feel that I got my $$ worth out of it so far.

Most people do get alot out of the tigerdrive. I just haven't had luck with the cheezy start . I like a p/s or a rotostart. Much easier

I still use the complete EZ Start system. I'm considering getting a roto-start type though.

well i was using the complete ez-start system, untill today when it crapped out on me. the starter motor sits there and spins. so i am going to upgrade to the tigerdrive.

Box on my Jato's and roto on my Revo. No one way bearing with the box start and less rotating mass in the motor and the lightest set up for the Jato for all out speed. For the Revo, roto is lighter than the ez start and still not too hard to get a start even if you are having problems starting. Tried the pull, hate it if its hard to start or breaking in a new motor. I use the ezstarter for a glow ignitor only. Just wired it to a regular ignitor that goes ontop of the plug. I can see if they plug is blown out by the light and it gives off 1.7-1.8 volts at the plug.

i used the full easy start for all my stock engines,
i currently run the easy start and a seperate glow ignitor, simple because i need the extra power to the starter motor to start the rb engines, (323 in the maxx, and 523 in the revo)
