GOT THE E-REVO
Well, I got the new e-revo last night from my lhs for $429.99+tax. I couldnt pass up that deal to get one now!
I have the new emaxx too and all I can say is maxx what[&:]????? This e-revo handles so much better(even though its stock) I have only driven it twice(b/c i had to work today) and I am falling in love with it already. All I need now is a new brushless set up for it and she will be set. The 2.5 revo I had driven didnt handle nearly as good as this one. I an very impressed with the new E
I read posts about the weak battery area and doors and I personly dont think its going to be that big of a maintance issue. Seems tough enough to hold up for a while to me. If I had to choice between getting e-revo or the e-maxx. I would easly pay the extra money for the e-revo b/c its a better built truck with what seems to be a superior suspention. Its a no brainer.
I will post some pics shortly

RE: GOT THE E-REVO
I dont have any way of getting vidio. Wish I did. I am going to get a few radar runs done with two 2s lipos to see how it compairs to the emaxx. I am still amazed at the handleing.
(I have to reload all the camera stuff back on my computer(had to replace the hard drive today)before I can post pics)

RE: GOT THE E-REVO
I can't wait...mine should be here this week...hopefully! The biggest weight savings will be to run Lipos rather than NiMh. The tires and rims would be the next thing to change. I have a set of LRPs that will be going on it and I am going to sell the stock wheels/tires right off the bat.

RE: GOT THE E-REVO
Does any one know if the revos tranny and diffs are really strong for brushless.
I dont want to get it and turn it brushless and it shreds pins in the tranny

RE: GOT THE E-REVO
The new e-maxx and e-revo come with the same tranny. I had a 9xl in the e-maxx for a while(until I lost it to some water when my lipos caught fire) and didnt have any issues at all. The e-revo was tested with a neu motor and 6s lipo by traxxas and castle and that what many have in there e-maxxs now.
No it doesnt come with batteries. Must furnish your own[&o]

RE: GOT THE E-REVO
2 7 cell batteries is the best b/c its really slow on 6 cell ones.
Snaut Rocket , What truck are you running now ? Your sig is funny Thats what happens when I drive the lst2
The e-revo is really nice. Its the best quallity traxxas truck I have seen. I bought the e-maxx knowing what it was compaired to the lst and I was surprised when I seen that the e-revo b/c it a whole new level for traxxas. The only thing is that they use junk electronics (except the new digital wp servos on the e-revo are really nice)and it seem to make them more toy like than its competitors. Its worth the money in my opinion.

RE: GOT THE E-REVO
you'll have to test out its durability for us... jump it off a roof or something cool like that haha (after you get your video stuff together)

Not a problem, WILL DO!!! I am also going to see how it takes a 100ft drop off the back of a sand dune too. The lst2 does it with out a sweet(When I land right that is. The only thing I have droken off the dunes is a diff and a few arms) Not bad for a 50mph 14pound truck. I hope the e-revo can take the punishment that I have put the lst2 through. Time will tell.
I am chargeing the batts right now and when its done I will see how it handles the "off the roof thing"[>:]
