Default T-Maxx 2.5 over running

I recently bought a T-maxx 2.5 from a buddy of mine who deployed. it ran fine for a little while but now it acts crazy. When I start it the truck just runs like it's on full throttle and only stops when i apply some gas. the centrifugal clutch is good but i don't know what else to check. any help would be great thanks.

Look to see if the throttle belcrank has gone over center and is now operating backwards.

there are a few things that you can check, 1. throttle trim on remote, 2. clutch/slipper/bell crank, 3. HSN/LSN/idle screw.... reset them to factory settings, then adjust them according to your specifications... just a few of my suggestions... good luck... come back to us for any more ideas, or let us know whatever you try, and if you succeed or not succeed....

could the throttle channel be reversed? so its open and revving at closed throttle and closing when you "apply gas" (open the throttle)?

When that happens on mine, the throttle bellcrank(the swivel thing that the linkages connect to) has too much pull and flips to the other side. That causes the truck toget stuck at full throttle.

Sounds to me like either one of the switches got pushed/activated by mistake, OR!; one of ur needles might just be outta whack. I would check both to see what might be happening....
