Default way fast e maxx??

Just wondering if you changed the pinions to make the first gear top speed similar to the origonal 2nd gear top speed would the new 2nd gear top speed be crazy fast?? The stock top speed is around 30mph would the new adjusted pinions get the new top speed to around 50mph?? Just an idea to think over..

Yes it would be faster, the problem is that it makes the motors work harder, which requires more power.. amp draw will be above what the motors can handle, they will heat up and burn out, and until that happens, acceleration will still stink, almost as much as your runtime.... Most trucks come RTR with slightly taller gearing than is ideal for motor life and runtime in order to get a good top speed.

If you go brushless it wont be a problem, as long as the batteries you get can supply the amps the motor askes for...

I thought the same well I can go brushless . Well i was wrong The novak hv 7.5 is what I have with the new emaxx and a 2 speed tranny. I was playing with all kinds of gearing . When in low gear the motor would run about 15 feet then shut down "over rev is what I called it" . But when i put it in high no problems at all. truck runs great .no glitches and now shutin off unless my Batts are dead.
So I found a happy sweet gearing that i liked which is 66/14 it has great top end and tons of low end for pulling.
good luck and have fun with it.
