Default Help? Transmitting issue? Transmittion issue? HELP Videos inside!

So i took my truck to my Local Hobby Shop.. after spending $70 i walked out with good feelings about getting my 2006 T-Maxx running.. it was my father truck and he passed away in 07 so the last time it seen any action was summer of 07 where it ran for maybe 12 hrs... MAYBE... so i clean out the gas tank and put new gas lines and tank on it and a new starter line and all that fun junk...

Get it running and it sounds great but i go to really let her rip and the throttle stuck in wide open for a second and i had no steering control... thinking this wasnt too big of an issue because its been sitting i decided to try to drive it out...after a while i let her go again...and then after a 10 foot jump into an empty ditch i made another trip to the LHS to but a new axle... i get home and start her up again and said "hell with it i wanna jump something" i hit a little ramp in my back yard and somehow the exhaust came off... so fixed that and went back out and its making a clicking sound now and isnt going between gears well...if at all.. got some videos to post up as they load... please note that i hit that car because i lost control not because i truely cant drive....and yes i know they are dark.. im sorry

Jeez, that can be a problem. Have you taken a peek inside the tranny?

Probably your centrifical clutch.... they will click like that rigth out of the box. They'll do that if your idle is a tad too high. As for the transmitter problem who knows.

I'd check all the reciever and antenna wires for exposed wire.

Have you ever gotten the servo's wet?

The lag has nothing to do with your idle... it's your receiver or transmitter. Judging from your video the thing should have taken off but it barely moved. The clicking I believe is just your idle being set too high. It's right at the point where it wants to engage the clutch but isn't quite high enough to drive off so it just kicks in and out.

Again, check your receiver and antenna wire. I'm betting you have a cut or exposed antenna wire. You might have a bad servo also. Does your shifting servo respond everytime?

I can gaurentee it's not the tranny... the centrifical clutch does that when the idle is right on the edge of engaging.

is the end cut off or just cut? the antenna needs to be a certain length to work properly.

If you have a cut in your wire it is toast.
Get a good radio like a spectrum, or JR
You turn the idle down by a screw on the side of the carb, do you have a manual?
If not download one off the traxxas website.
Good luck

then the receiver needs a new antenna, or just get a new receiver. you can get one off ebay for like $14.

The antenna will have an exposed end on em and the length should be right to the top of the plastic tube.

If your shifting servo responds that tells me you have a bad servo or reciever. Pull the reciever apart and look for bare wires from the servos... check the plugs.

If your steering and ****ing servos respond with no problems everytime then plug your throttle servo into your steering servo plug and see if it's acting up. You should be able to turn the wheel and have your throttle servo respond. Cycle it a bunch of times and see if it acts up. If it does then you have a bad servo assuming all the reciever wires are good.

If it works ok then that means theres something up with the reciever.

The idle screw is next to the high speed needle. Should have a spring on it.
