Default My revo never ceases to amaze me.

Ok I have had my revo for three years. It has a forward only kit, close ratio gear kit, rollcage, and a single servo. Everything else on the truck is stock. I have put 18 gallons thru it. Its been to the dunes numerous times. Gets beaten to a pulp. And still runs strong. It has sat in the garage for about 5 months without running it, or afterrun oil in the motor. So yesterday i charge up the reciever batterie and put some fuel in it. Hit the starter for like 5 seconds while priming it, and as soon ans my finger left the exuast it fired right up. I did not touch the hsn or the lsn and it ran GREAT. Shifted perfect and never got above 240 degrees. I just wanted to share how proud i am of my revo.

18 gallons through one motor. Good ole 2.5r.
And quit complaining about the heat. last week it was between 95 and 100 all week.
But that dont stop me, run it with no body and a bit rich.

If you keep on top of your air filter and always filter your fuel you should have no problems getting many gallons out of an engine. Of course other factors will either help or hurt your engines success.

Kevin

P.S. Sweet pic!

I had been running nitros for 2 years before i got my revo. So i have a decent amount of tuning experience in.

Thats pretty much what i do. After every 2-4 tanks i clean the air filter. In dusty conditions sometimes i switch to a clean one after one tank. But i never go more than 5 tanks on one filter. Even on asphalt. I dont have alot of money so having a clean filter is like insurance on a 160 dollar engine.

And thanks, my friend took it when i was bashing around in my backyard.
