Default tmaxx tranny problems...

Well my truck is finaly running pretty good. for the most part. It's now having tranny problems. First off, it wont go in reverse. Second, and most of all, when it's just idling it wants to go. It's hard to explain but it like i'm giving it full throttle for a split second and let off... does that pretty much repeatly. I hope that makes sense.

well as for ur idling problem that sounds like a broken clutch spring to me,and that will also explain ur reverse problem........reverse wont engage if ur truck is trying to move forward

If the engine is going from idle to throttle and back to idle that sounds like a servo problem. while at idle watch the trrottle servo and see if it giving the engine gas on it's own.

I'll check the servo tomorrow.  I dont know if it throttle or not.  It's really hard to explain, it's more of a bunch of quick "jumps" i guess you could say.

Black tranny?

If so you are most likely experiancing tranny bucking. The black tranny with reverse is known for the bucking.
Your idle speed is too fast.
Lower the idle and the buck will go away at idle but it will still occur at slow rpm take offs. It's the way the internal forward/reverse output gears are designed.
The only way to eliminate the buck completely is to do the no buck mod, or install the forward only shaft and gear.

Bucking... that is a good word to call it. Thanks.

When I first got it it didn't "buck" as much, now it does it bad. I think I have the idle as far down as it will go, i'll see if it will go any lower.

What is the "no buck mod"?

Thanks for the link.  I think i'll just put a forward only in there though.  Seems that is what everyone else is recommending anyways.  I'm gonna go out and get the whole tranny though.  I planning on upgrading my 2.5 to a 3.3 or larger O.S. motor in there.  I dont think the stock 2.5 will hold up to it.  But at least I know what my "bucking" problem is now.  I'll see about setting the idle down tomorrow.  Thanks.
