Default 3905 upgrades?

What should i get for my brand new stock E-maxx for upgrades? I'm going to bash this thing over jumps and such so I'm going to break things i know but i figured i'd ask those who have tried some of the things out there before i just go buying things... or breaking them and replacing them one buy one. i end up saving money in the end when you have to take ten trips to the hobby shop or waiting around for things to come in from ebay. OH also tell me what did NOT work or is junk so I dont buy it. thanks

The main things that broke for me on this truck where the rear shock tower, front bulkheads and skid plate. The rest of the truck held up just fine. I plan on getting the Fast lane machine skidplate and bulkheads. They are on rcbros.com. As for the rear tower I just did a redneck fix with two peices of sheet metal. lol Good luck!

Get better shock towers!! Its a must! If you get the rpm front bumper it wil stop you from breaking the skid plate. I would also recommend the wear plates by rpm too. I have both on my emaxx. I bought rpm shock towers too but they dont offer much adjustabilaty so I thing I am going aluminum(I hate to but .....)

I quite breaking bulkheads when I got the RPM front bumper, wear plates, and arms.

I just got a new 3905(to replace the last one that I sold) and I have the rpm stuff on it too. I am 1/2 tempted to get aluminum bulks but I just never needed them before??? Its a good peice of mind though? (Im still on the bench with that purchase)

I went with 60W oil and the traxxas white variable rate spring that come on the BE e-maxx. I really like the way it feels. I am thinking about getting some losi eight rear shocks (they are super nice top quality and are the same leagth as the stockers)

I have been looking for some stiff shocks cause the back end sags almost all the way to the groud on take off and it for sure bottoms out after jumps not hard....yet but soon i think i'll be replacing things because of this.

You should definitely get skid plates because the screws wear down super easy: I found that out the hard way...

Ebay has a ton of mambas. I looked but I'm not ready for that kind of speed or power, stuff is still really hard and frozen here

shock towers are on the way but why alluminum skid plates vs the RPM ones? wont they dent and bend? I have been steering towards the RPM stuff since it's like a licence to attempt to break things
