RE: Traxxas Summit
I got new shoes!!!! I had been told these tyres would be too narrow for these rims but I thought they'd fit. RC4WD's Rok Loks mounted on Axial 8 hole rims. I'll get some comparison shots up later and some pics of them on the truck. They sure are big.

RE: Traxxas Summit
Nice. I was going to get those instead of my mudslingers but just too big for me!
|
RE: Traxxas Summit
Danget! i broke another driveshaft from trying to drive it on its back againhttp://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/js/f...msn/crying.gifdo you guys think that i should get those metal driveshafts or is that a bit overkill?
|
RE: Traxxas Summit
How the heck do you keep breaking them? I can even break them i'm my E-revo Brushless lol
|
RE: Traxxas Summit
Ok so yesterday i noticed a popping or clicking in my tranny. So i took it apart tonight and a bearing was blown out. I had a spare 1 so i replaced it.<div>
</div>http://i1165.photobucket.com/albums/...86D18B8D60.jpg<div> </div><div>So i cleaned all the swamp water out and was wondering if i should put some of this in there then seal it back up?</div><div> </div>http://i1165.photobucket.com/albums/...86D50DE55E.jpg<div> </div><div> </div> |
RE: Traxxas Summit
Doesn't it say on the tranny not to put any oil in it? I don't think your supposed too, I know them being plastic that it doesn't really need to be lubed. I'm not 100% sure on the summit tranny though
|
RE: Traxxas Summit
Well ive already soaked it in WD and then 3in1 oil!!! Lmao oops.
|
RE: Traxxas Summit
Well after i put it back together it was still catching somewhere so i took it all apart, all the gears out and there are a few bearings out and 1 gear stripped out:(
|
RE: Traxxas Summit
And that's why you don't put oil in the tranny lol jk :)... For how much you run it though it's pretty good
|
RE: Traxxas Summit
Yeah 8 months half of the time to the roof in a creek a few bearings and a gear isnt too bad i guess! Already ordered the parts...$20
|
RE: Traxxas Summit
Yeah stuff like that is pretty normal.
|
RE: Traxxas Summit
Check out this cam!!! Its not waterproof but its only $32!!!!<div>

RE: Traxxas Summit

RE: Traxxas Summit
ORIGINAL: Summit is Beast!!! Kenny...when r u gonna post some pics of ure new tires on the summit?</div> I'm getting around to it. I still have one tyre to put on, those beadlocks take forever. |
RE: Traxxas Summit
Yeah i know. I had to take all mine off after that creek run to get the water out. My wrist still hurts!!! I put silicone in the holes on the rims so i wont have to do that again.!
|
RE: Traxxas Summit
Don't you want the tires to loose air so they can flex and grip more?
|
RE: Traxxas Summit
Nope. I crawl on rocks maybe 2 times every 6 months and these mudslingers are so stiff anyway. I mainly run in creeks or just bash on dirt hills or dirt trails so i dont think it will make a huge diff.

RE: Traxxas Summit
Wow. Looks great! How many "s from the ground to the chassis?
|
RE: Traxxas Summit
Roughly 5" from the bottom of the battery doors. It might droop a little with batteries in it though.
