T-maxx Front and Rear Center CVD Steel
I ordered the HPI and Revo parts for the rear center steel driveshaft conversion and I would also like to update the front center to stell as well. I have a 4908 model.
Any help or suggestions is appreciated. I was told to stay way from Integy and MIP so What other options do i have to also make it steel? Thanks |
RE: T-maxx Front and Rear Center CVD Steel
For the center these CVD's work great! www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p

RE: T-maxx Front and Rear Center CVD Steel
Are you sure about that, This is the 4908 model which is the extended T-maxx. Ikno the rear will not work but im not sure about the front. Iwould just like the front.
thanks |
RE: T-maxx Front and Rear Center CVD Steel
O i see. Well this is the only thing i could find for that modelwww3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p

RE: T-maxx Front and Rear Center CVD Steel
Yes i know about Integy andMIP but i have read nothing but negative things about them. Iwould like to use something other than those 2 companies and oem.
|
RE: T-maxx Front and Rear Center CVD Steel
Well i know that Integy and MIP suck. But besides OEM they're many others i don't think

This is why I posted on here hoping someone who has gone through this can point me in the right direction.
Cheers |
RE: T-maxx Front and Rear Center CVD Steel
Well I've used OEM Center CVD's and they work great
|
RE: T-maxx Front and Rear Center CVD Steel
They work fine with factory motor but im upgrading to pico .26 so im trying to get most of the upgrades out the way now.
|
RE: T-maxx Front and Rear Center CVD Steel
Hmmm well i used the OEM CVd's in my E-revo brushless. So there pretty strong!!!
|
RE: T-maxx Front and Rear Center CVD Steel
is it the same size as t-maxx center front?
|
RE: T-maxx Front and Rear Center CVD Steel
Do you mean thickness of steel rod? If so then yeah they are. http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/js/f...wink_smile.gif

RE: T-maxx Front and Rear Center CVD Steel
So it is a direct fit and you have the same setup on your T-maxx 4908?
Idon't want to order something and get stuck with it. Do you have a part numbr |
RE: T-maxx Front and Rear Center CVD Steel
No i have an E-revo Bruxhless. Not a T-maxx. But the OEM are for a dif model as we went over. Do you know if the these shafts are longer or shorter then yours???
|
RE: T-maxx Front and Rear Center CVD Steel
No i don't thats why i was hoping you would know lol
|
RE: T-maxx Front and Rear Center CVD Steel
Yeah the thing is i (like you) can't find one thing on them. I know how you can get a center back CVD but not front LOL. BTW have you brokon the plastic ones?
|
RE: T-maxx Front and Rear Center CVD Steel
No not yet, i'm anticipating it breaking so i want to replace it before it does.
|
RE: T-maxx Front and Rear Center CVD Steel
Hmmm well I've seen multiple guys with the Picco .26 and they havent broken there plastic center ones. So if you can't find any CVD's then at least the stocks are not too bad

If you don't drive it hard im sure it will be fine :)

RE: T-maxx Front and Rear Center CVD Steel
Yeah, the rear center shaft didn't survive a 6S brushless conversion LOL.... I ordered the 4949R's I hope they fit. In the pic, they both look the same length. The rear center shaft is a little longer on my truck. I dont need the brake hex as I'm brushless now. I locked the trans in 2nd and installed a FOC.

RE: T-maxx Front and Rear Center CVD Steel
if you want to just upgrade the rear and don't want the front let me know
