Jackedman 04-25-2008 06:58 AM

RE: Everything Tmaxx

nice thats awsome. Did you change any of the components on the truck to make it work? Longer drive shafts or anything? How much longer is it, 2 or3 inches? And my last question, do you have a template that I can follow to make the plates to extend mine or do you sell them? Im willing to contribute to your hard work. :DThanks for the Pictures.

RE: Everything Tmaxx

Stellar1 let me look into it to see how much it would cost and i don't have any temp plates i was going off the top of my head and the only thing i made longer was the rear center shaft to go to the rear diff and a few chassis mods so nothing rubs. Oh and its about 2 2.5 longer its now the same lenght as my savage

RCCanuck the bottle hold pressure from what im told it helps balances it all out. I dont really know much but all i know is once i put it on i had the nipple on the block all ready from when i bought it and now it works so i leave it on

whats a good heat sink for the 3.3 mines overheating about 20 degrees

racemaxx24 05-20-2008 04:41 PM

RE: Everything Tmaxx

The stock. Sounds like u need to richen the LSN and the HSN

p3t3v3x53 05-20-2008 05:40 PM

RE: Everything Tmaxx

yeah i know. i can richen it to the point where it is starting to bog right before it goes into power band and it still runs like 270-280. iv cut holes out of the body and everything. any suggestions?

RE: Everything Tmaxx

Have u replaced your fuel lines and tightened the fuel tank seal screw?

what type of fuel and plug are you using? also for a TRX engine 270-290 isn't all that bad....I had one that ran 290 all the time and got 8 gallons of fuel out of it.

RE: Everything Tmaxx

My 3.3 has never been over 240 and it runs GREAT. Consant wheelies and burnouts. I think this is more of a airleak/tuning problem.

RE: Everything Tmaxx

true iv looked at my lines and they are still good and the tank seals good. im using the traxxas 20% and just a traxxas medium plug. mabey il just have to run it at that temp, theres no point in babying it cause its still gonna wear out

racemaxx24 05-21-2008 01:41 PM

RE: Everything Tmaxx

Trust me. Replace your fuel lines just to be safe. I can't always see a hole in the line but its there and it WILL cause problems. Even if u do replace it and it doesn't help, at least thats one less thing to worry about:)

yeah iv had my motor since the end of febuary and i think the highest i saw was like 250, until now

RE: Everything Tmaxx

Try a hot plug....Also switch fuels I have heard alot pf people experiencing overheating with the traxxas fuel.

p3t3v3x53 05-21-2008 02:22 PM

RE: Everything Tmaxx

would a hotter plug really make it run cooler? i didnt know that. i thaught u used it when it was cold outside to keep the temps up

yeah i think i have some fuel line laying around somewhere mabey il replace it if i feel like get all mad tuning it.

RE: Everything Tmaxx

whats a good fuel that i could switch to? (isnt that the million dollar question)

p3t3v3x53 05-21-2008 02:52 PM

RE: Everything Tmaxx

i still think it might be the body restricting airflow to the head cause i can tune it perfect without the body and have it running 240-250 and put the body on and get 280-290. i know putting the body on will bring it up a little but 40 degrees?
