My 23cc gas powered T-maxx

Hi guys,
I've promised a few people photos of my T-maxx running a 23cc mitox strimmer/weed wacker engine. It's working good now, after I've been having a few interference problems of the receiver picking up noise from the magneto.
It's goes like an absolute train! the torque from the engine is immense. I can't do a full throttle start with standard shafts as it just twists the rears off like they're made out of cheese.

It's basically a stock maxx, lengthened about 3 inches with a steel rear centre shaft with standard maxx knuckles off drive shafts put together to make a UJ kind of thing. I'm running this setup on the rear drive shafts at the moment but they are twisting already, even though they've lasted about 15/20 full throttle starts on tarmac. It will absolutely fly through mud and water as the engine revs don't die at all it just flicks mud EVERYWHERE!!!!

I'm getting a new chassis made as you can see I've just bolted a piece to the back of this one to see if I could make it work.
Specs are:
Standard 2.5 t-maxx,
23cc two stroke mitox weed wacker engine,
Direct drive to tranny via an alan socket onto the input shaft,
Custom rear drive shafts,
tranny modified to spin the other way but I've retained reverse too which nobody else has done to my knowledge :) This involved re-making the final drive gears so that they engage (The spin the wrong way for them to engage standard)
Resistor spark plug and surpressed spark plug cap to stop RF noise
Receiver located inside body shell.

That's about it!! I need to get a stronger steering servo, and a pair of rear cvd's/dogbones so they don't snap.
here are the pics:

I do plan on doing a video. I'm going to my favourite bash site the end of this month and will get a good one then. Will mean I will have the cvd's in then and a stronger steering servo so I can really give it some in the mud :)

semi metallic brake disc? not sure bout that

the brakes aren't the strongest in the world, but I don't really drive it fast. I like mud and climbs etc not into jumping. The nitro wouldn't idle any where near long enough for my style of driving that's why i did this

Nice job, there are a couple nitro to gas conversion threads in the large scale forum if you're interested.

you think it's good with a yard engine, try converting it to fit a full blown larges scale engine in there, say a 26 zenah... now that would kill the drive shafts lol

LOL. It has plenty of grunt for me now :)
Since I've built it I've blown:
two second speed gears,
the shifter ring,
exploded three rear diff cases
two tranny cases
and countless rear drive shafts

so I aint giving it any more power :D

well ifyou wanted to you could probably easily times that power by 4! more power!
