Hi!
Sorry! But those HP engines are not reliable enough!
As for setting valves. This is something you rarely have to do on four strokes! So it's not a problem.

I have one in the mail: 150" WS with twin DL 55s with20x10 3-blades http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_9464280/mpage_6/tm.htm

Yours is very nice BTW.

I-fly-any-and-all,

I haven't recieved my december issue yet I'll check it
out the moment it arrives!
As far the Vt.21's go, a friend of mine had one of these
engines years ago (1984) I remember that it was very
quiet, but also a little on the bulky side as far as dimensions
go(I believe it's taller than the O.S. fs-20/26's) Other than
that, I know nothing about them. I'll look aroundfor some
used fs-20's,but I'm sure they'll be hard to find.

Thanks, Jon

Try this guy for the o.s. fs 20's he deals with mass amounts of model engine estates [email protected]
He's also in model aviation. Also you said you have magazines documenting the build of the royal b-17 in the 80's!

It would be wonderful if you would please scan and email me, if you dont have a scanner staples can do it and put them on a cd for you.

It's funny you should mention the B-17 articles,
as I am currently scouring my old magazine collection for them.
Although I don't believe they weredetailed builds, just pics with
descriptions. As soon as I find them (it may take a little time),
I'll scan them and email them to you.

Hi!
It's 211cm in span, weighting 3,6kg ready to fly (Marutaka kit modified with glass fiber engine cowlings). Power is two OS FS.26 four strokes, swinging 10x5 3-blade carbon fiber props.Tanks are 110cc tin plate tanks soldered together of the Uni-flo variety, no exhaust pressure.

I-fly-any-and-all,

Very cool! I've got more to tell you, but I'm having
trouble pasting from word to rcu. Is rcu still having problems?
I'll try again tomorow.

Jaka, you still out there buddy?

I'm interested in maybe getting four of your propellers from you.
How much do they cost?. Are they available? Would they work well
for my B-17?

Hope to hear from you soon, Jon

I-fly-any-and-all,

Great buy!!! Where did you find it?

I'm the third owner of mine , the first guy framedup the fuse,
the wing halves, and completed the entire tail section.
he sold it to a friend of mine for $200.00. My friend glued the
wing halves together and let it sit in his workshop for two
years and then(after two years of bugging him to finish it)
sold it to me for $100.00!! I guess if this trend were to
continue, the next owner would get it for free!

~Jon~

P.S. Post some pics, maybe we could have two builds going!!

Now I have four good .26's!! I'm going to scrap the
two .26's/two.20's plan. Now, back to the build!!!

~Jon~

P.S. Nice cessna 310!

Hi!
Have them available!
They work just perfect for a .26-.30 four stroke. Equall performance or better than a any equal (10x5) 2-blade APC or RAM prop. I have tested them in a ordinary sport plane.

Jaka,

How much do they cost? (U.S. currency).
I'll need four.
Sorry for the slow response time, I've been really busy lately.

Also, how sturdy are they? i.e; what about an overlean situation, I've had .26's and .30's throw
props and spinners(Not good for the engine either) that would put a lot of stress on the
hub( and no fun at all just after lifting off the runway on a gusty day with atwin engine airplane).

I try to run mine a little on the rich side most of the time, but an overlean situation can happen
when your not careful or in a rush.

Hi!
I made them specially for my Marutaka DC-3.
Any paint would work, but I use them as they are, just sanded and balanced.Trowing a prop!? Never happend to me!
I run 5% nitro and 15% Motul micro All synthetic oil. 30 years ago I used 20% Castor oil, never experienced any engine trowning props then and not now. When I occationaly run my engines too lean, which dosn't happen too often, they sag...never detonate.

hey buddy when are you going to jump back on this build?
I did what they said couldn't be done and now have 4 o.s. .20 four strokers, all used of course for around $80 to $130 each
I found a rebuild kit with new piston ring, and bearings on ebay for around $30 and I bought 4 so I'm rebuilding my engines.
Wish I could find 2 reverse rotation cam shafts.

Actually, I've been working on it I just haven't had the time to post anything. When i can I'll
start a new build thread, as the old one has fallen apart (some pics are gone or wont open).
Congrat's on finding the .20's, those should be perfect! As far as my B-17 goes, I've got the
nacelles ready to be glassed. It took a little longer to carve and sand the balsa blocks as
some of the wood had already begun petrification(30 plus years old). I'll be glassing tonight!

also snagged a royal b-25 with flaps, retracts, and two os .46's for $375.
