Hi Jim I'm Jerry, I have one of those Quality-Fiberglass C-130s also.I also have the ASM C-130 but it has been modifed and painted in USAF colors. Actually i have three C-130s in my Hangar. Two ASM C-130s and the QF C-130.
I do also have the Original Skip Mast C-130 plans and have one of the copies of Model Airplane News Dec 1981 with the article.I see your from Hemet, have you been to Chino at the PVMAC? I been there a couple of times with my C-130 and plan on being there for their Scale Squadron event in JUNE. I'm getting ready to be at the IMAA event at Castle AFB. I couldn,t fly last year due to engine issues but thats all been solved and she's ready to go.
Been trying to get two C-130s at one event and that hasn't been done yet.
Here's a picture of my C-130 that was taking at this years AMA EXPO.
Jerry.

Mike,
Great build and thread you started here, i used to have 1/12th Palmer C130 up till few months ago, it was one hell of a project to say the least. You Fat Albert livery will be stunning once done, it's one very kool scheme in my opinion. Juss wondering if its the pics u took give this as illusion or ur model is after L-100-30 Vs C-130 as length seems to a a lot longer on it compared to stock C130's...

I will check on the company who made the decals for me and try to let you know tomorrow. I need to find the paper work for them first. The company who makes the kit is http://www.qualityfiberglass.net/and this is a c-130 hercules kit. I did the yellow stripe on the fuse today. next will be the blue on the bottom then panel lines and stickersand lastclear coat. lots of steps on the fuse. jim

Nice project,
I took some pics of a C-130 doing a paratroop drop a Fly-In in Cincinnati this past Sunday. Very impressive model and flew great. I was lucky and caught the C-130 in a High-Alpha on landing. I am not sure what kit it was but I heard the pilot say it was 32lbs at take-off and 28lbs on landing.
Later!!

My ASM C-130 in the previous post is also modeled after the full size C-130E 64-0504 that was based at Pope. I'm retired from the USAF and i was a Aircraft Maintance Technican / Crew Chief and worked on this very aircraft.
