Ames Multi-Engine Fly-In is Back!
Forced to take a year off to rehab a flood-ravaged field, we are pleased to announce we are back in better shape than ever!
Saturday, September 8, is the big day.
Award-winning BBQ, more than $1,000 in prizes, unique trophies, and a relaxed friendly atmosphere guaranteed to make it worth the drive.
The field is smooth and green: 340 ft of PetroMat and 630 ft total runway, unlimited and un-cluttered flyover area.
Because multi-engine pilots are so distinguished and rare, we have expanded the eligible to Warbirds and Classics, but multi-engines will still be celebrated and specially privileged.
Landing fee of $15 per pilot. Prize-winning BBQ included.
That Sunday, September 9, is rain-out day, or just stay and fly some more and eat leftovers, if you're having too much fun to leave!
Lots of nearby motels. Field feels remote, but is only 5 paved miles off the Interstate. See flyer on our website:

RE: Ames Multi-Engine Fly-In is Back!
Saturday's forecast is still perfect:
75 degrees, light NNW wind
Wear a jacket for the mornings
Master groundskeeper and club MVP Kent has given us the flattest, greenest field ever.
North and South views. Hope to see ya there!

Coming right up!
We had a great event: 26 pilots, 150 spectators, not many crashes
Cross-wind Saturday, but Sunday so perfect we were exhausted by evening.
I will post some of my amateur pics, but I expect the pro's (Lloyd and Starla) to have their select finest to me soon.
Thanks,
mt
