Default WING B-25 Build questions

Ok, i know it is an older kit but i have just started building my WING B-25 and have a question. The wing plans appear to be off-scale (they are not 1"=1"). When measuring my plans wing wingspan (root to tip) all the measurements look good, but when measuring from root L.E to T.E, they appear off by quite a bit......I have built many kits before but have never seen this before. I am measuring from the L.E of the wing (minus the 3/4" l.e wood) to the T.E of the wing and it is off!

Am i missing something?! Thanks in advance

Default RE: WING B-25 Build questions

I don't recall seeing anything like this during my Wing build, but I'll go downstairs tonight and dig out my wing and compare it to the plans. Since the wing ends up being foam sheeted with balsa, all I remember doing was joining the inner to the outer panels, then doing the sheeting. So the actual wing may have not matched the wing plans. What I'd do was make sure my LE-TE distance on the wing matches the distance between F6 and F9 on the fuselage plans.

Did you get a copy of Wing's construction guide for the B-25? While it's not a detailed set of instructions, it does help with the buiding process.

FWIW, I measured the wing. One the plan, it's 15.25" from LE to TE on my set of plans (which includes the LE and TE pieces). My wing came out at 15", and fits with plenty of (too much??? ) room in the wing opening.
