Default Royal Baron kit

I have a royal Baron I want to fly. But I don't want to fly it unless I know all my alignment and thrust is correct.

Does anyone have copies or specs you may have laying around? I just want to make sure the engines are dialed in and on point.

My dad built this plane 25 yes back and I just found it unflown by the guy my dad built it for. The engines have been test ran. New radio gear. Ready to fly. So I want to triple check everything

How do they fly anyways? Lol

Thanks

Nick

Well we had a custom super sportster twin we made and fly great in all zero degrees. Guess I'll start there.

Hi!
I built and flew a Cessna 310 from the Japanese Company Marutaka (Royal only in the US) 30 years ago, probably the same size as your Baron.
Mine was set up as most sport planes 0,0,0 . Had two Enya .40 X engines swinging 10x6 props and ran 5% nitro and 20% Castor oil.

.40 two strokes are way to much ower for it (It flies two fast and weigh too much) , modern .25 or .30 are what I would choose today if I would build it again. Using smaller engines gives a lower wing loading which is very important when flying a scale twin. engined airplane.

Thank you. Mine has no flaps or retracts and is super light. Has webra 40 speeds on it!

That's just what it was built with back along time ago. They run great. If to much power I don't have to worry about landing with one engine running .

Hi!
What I mean with "Too much power" is that the model will fly too fast due to high weight , Too high wing loading and and will not fly as well (Behave well) as with .25-.30 engines.

Using smaler engines means less weight (smaller tank, less fuel, smaller engine mount, smaller spinner) all considered... a model with less weigh that is less likely to spinn and crash, flies on it's wing instead of on power and is therefore more likely to survive...
