Hay Buddy,
The VQ F-82 from what I've read builds tail heavy. I built and flew the World Models F-82 and it built nose heavy. From all the flight reports I've read, the VQ F-82 is a sweet flying model. VQ also has a larger composite Super scale F-82 in the works, and its over 100" wing span. I'm waiting for this larger kit from VQ War Birds..for gas engines too. The F-82 has one of the sweetest single engine out flight envelopes an RC pilot could ever wish for. I know...because my first F-82 had two Fox .50's inverted. The Fox .50 is a powerful engine and for me, a good runner...but...I stuck the engines in inverted and I had a better then 50/50 chance for an engine out. Of the 50 or so flights I had, more then half were single engine. The airframe has excellent aerodynamics for single engine flight and so different then my three P-38's I've built and flown. All three P-38's eventually lost engines in flight and this airframe will invert and go in, in a heart beat. The F-82 is so forgiving it amazed me. Fully controllable with one engine out, and I could trim the rudder with an engine out...and fly it hands off the Tx. You just had to remember to take out the rudder trim when you chop throttle to land...ask me how I know... : )
If you can find a F-82 grab it. You will not be disappointed.
Soft Landings Always,
