Flying Models magazine is in business, they like to sell plans, it's their plan no. CF483. I'd think if you call them up, no reason why you couldn't buy a copy of the plan. Ask for their editor Frank Fanelli if there's any problem. One of my favorite airplanes, with the original piped K&B 6.5s it was really fast. And that was before retracts. Or MonoKote, had to paint 'em then.

Dick thank you, I forgot to cancel this ad. But I was able to buy the set of plans from Flying model Magazine and I even picked up a set of Front Rotor K&B 7.5 pumped rear exhaust engines. On Ebay I found a pair of Mac Over the fuse exhaust pipes so I plan to build it just the in the magazine. I am meeting with the guys at Precision cut kits at the Ram show to see what they would charge to lazer cut the kit for me. This would just speed up the process for me. I will post something on Rc universe when I start building it.
thanks Alan

I had a pair of the very early K&B schnuerle engines, they were hot, plane went fast, looped, rolled, turned either way on one engine, which happened frequently. Engines blew up. Rods broke, bearings let go, shafts broke. K&B always fixed them for free. Later engines with changes were better, but I changed to OS .40s, slower, lot more reliable.
Made a smaller version, the Fifty Caliber, two OS .25s, published in MAN.
Later another twin the Double Impact, two OS .40s, published in FM.
Twins are fun.

I've got his Big Apple twin ( MAN 1985) I have built 3 of them. In my opinion this is the best handling out there. I have done many single engine takeoffs with NO problems. the plans are atill around. I might have a set here.

Did you every build the Magnum 80? I really like the look of it with the 2 header pipes. It looks like a Hot Rod. I would like to see a picture of the Big Apple if you have one?
