Default Can you ID this plane?

Hi;Will try to put the pictures on here haven't done this for some time.It reminds me of the Gruman Skyrocket I believe it was called.Same gheneral looks.Has a 76" symetrical wing, seems pretty lite weight,Owner said had 2-Supertiger 46s in it but he didn't know what it was.Appears to be scratch built,he said he had the plans but loaned them out and never got them back. Will try to add the pictures. Thanks Bob Moodie

It could be a Double Impact, Flying Models plan #CF967 by Dick Sarpolus.

Did find the seller but he only remembers it as a MAN plan from 15+ years ago. Will see if I can find anything on that double impact. Is really different with that short nose and forward set engines.Said he had Supertiger 40s in it.Will try MAN site see if they have anything listed for there plans as these things usually seem tostay in the plan services for ever.

It looks very close to the plans from the 1995 Flying Models plan #CF967. I've been wanting to build this plane also because it is so different from anything else I've seen. Here is a picture of the cover of that issue of Flying Models.

Well thanks much for the info obvious that is what it is.Don't knowif I can find anything on there web site if they have one but will look.DO you remember what they had to say about it.Thinking of using 2-46FX's on it would try saito 65 4 strokes but mounts would have to be changed as not set up for the rear carbs.Again thanks to both of you for the info. Will see if I can copy the picture of the mag. Thanks!Bob Moodie

I can scan the inside article and email the pics if you'd like. It's a pretty good article.

Would really appreciatte that did find the web site for Flying Models looks likekthey might still have back copies avail.but would be great if you could scan it and send!Just e-mail to moodierr@netscape.net.Or put on here.Plane is in nice shape bought it for $50 at swap trouble is can buy this stuff for so much less than costs to build it!HAven't done anything with it yet about due for my annual migration from Yuma to Wi. may take it along and get it back in shape up there.Nice here fly every day.600'blacktop runway and usually warm and sunny bit change from Wi.Yesterday was only second day all winter weather was really to bad to fly 30MPH wind even I had sense enough not to try. Thanks much.Bob Moodie
