Default I want a Twinair 45 but,

I have phoned twice and emailed with no reply. I did leave a message but I am quite far away and impatient. It's only been 24hrs.
Can anyone tell me if I can still get this kit?
Does anyone want to send me a kit
Is this the best kit for my first twin? I can't find a Hobbico Twinstar [&o]
I am Paypal ready and I want a twin

In my opinion, the only easier twin in this range is an ARF. It's an excellent first twin, or second, for that matter. A good, versatile airplane.

I was talking to the owner about a week ago on another matter, he says he is really up to his ears, as busy as he can be. If you would care to move to New Hampshire, he might give you a job. Haw.

I don't know if he works with PayPal or not, if you get him on the phone he will accept Visa/MC for the purchase.

Including freight to the "Lower 48," the total is $154.95, might be a little more to Canada.

He did mention going to some show or other, that might be where he is now - there's only two people there. Just tried to call him both at NE-Aero and his home (I have both numbers) and got nothing but his answering machines. I did leave a message telling him of your post.

Bill.

Steve,
I spoke with John at NE-aero two days ago by email - he said that the current run is sold out, but will have more manufactured in two weeks. He will answer your email, but it takes a couple of days. I plan to purchase one also - keep me posted.

Excerpt from an email John just sent me, about you:

...He left a phone message saying he wanted the kit, but failed to leave his name or a number I could reach him at. As for his email, I still can't find it. I'm beginning to really distrust this spam filter...
So try the email again, send it both to [email protected] and [email protected] but be sure to say in each you're sending it to the ohter address as well. Unless you want two kits. You also might leave another phone message, this time including your contact information.

And while I enjoy talking to John, and push his airplanes and services when I can, I have no business connection with John or Northeast Aerodynamics. I just think he's one of the "Good Guys," and his planes are really good.

Hi Bill,
I just received a PM from John. Looks like no problems with Paypal. I never left a number 'cause I really did not expect a return call. I'm quite far away and the last thing I need is to be responsible for driving the overhead up resulting in increased kit prices
Dave, we should keep in touch Is this going to be your first twin to?
Thanks for all the help Bill [sm=thumbup.gif]

Curiosity: How much was the estimated freight into Canada?

I PM'ed him my mailing address so he can get a proper total. I'll share the exact cost with you when I hear.
My country also attaches 14.5 % in sales taxes to the converted American dollar as well as a $5.00 fee for customs.
In the end I'm guessing it will be around 240.00 to 250.00 Cdn dollars landed. [:'(]
Little more than I can get the Duellist for... 230.00 landed
Not too bad eh

The Duellist is a good plane also, but a lot harder to build than the Twin-Air.

I have two of the Twin-Air series at the moment, but three Duellists and a fourth Duellist in process.

Bill, do we get to do another build thread?

Maybe this time a bipe version? How 'bout 4 motors instead of two? Add a third fin to the tail? What about dual stabs?

Seriously, the TA is a fun plane- I'm really enjoying mine!

Any new build can be a new thread.

Triple tails and four engines? "Constellation-Air" is awkward, and "Con-Air" is a registered trade mark, so what could we call it?

Glad you're enjoying your Twin-Air TT, given care you should be able to enjoy it for many years. Just sorry you didn't get the right three blade props for it.

Here's a video clip to wet your appetites- as you will see my Twin-Air is no longer being treated like a baby!

The link will take you to our club video page. The new TA video is right at the top.

Yeah, the motors were off a little bit this go-'round. I've found I can tune them just about perfectly if I wait a few minutes first for them both to warm up completely, but these days I usually don't want to wait- I want to fly!!!

Haw.

And what do you propose to do for your next build thread?

I may just have to go with the Duellist. John seems to have his hands full [] or he never received my replies.
So just how hard is the Duellist to build. I have done some building, 3 sport planes, 2 ARFS and I always seem to help everyone with theirs. I have also built A Dirty Birdy pattern ship by Joe Bridi !

Steve,

John may be out of town this weekend. I sent him an e-mail yesterday with some stuff he asked me for and I haven't heard back from him yet either. I understand that he is very busy but as Bill said earlier he is one of the "good guys" and I'm positive that he will contact you very soon.

You can switch to the Duellist- but from what I understand it is a much tougher (and longer) build. In the end I am sure you will be flying sooner if you hang on and wait for John!

Bill- I am neither lazy nor impatient, its just a "time-management" thing
(OK, well maybe a little impatient sometimes...)

Steve,

I'm not certain what to make of your last post. I've sent you a PM, and I have replied to your email. I can't phone you, you never gave me your number.

So let's get this out in the open. If you want the kit, please send $139.95US + $25US S&H to my PayPal account. I'll ship your kit the next day. To be fair for those waiting for kits, I can only hold the kit for you for 72 hours.

I don't know what the problem is with your email to and from John. He and I had a late night conversation yesterday, he said if you post $165 US to his PayPal account today or tomorrow he'll send you the kit the next day. He also said he'd hold one for you, but only for a short time. Too many people ordering them to hold one longer.

Give him your phone number. Or PM/email it to me, I'll see he gets it.

The Duellist? Even the Dirty Birdy doesn't come close. A Sig 1/6 scale J-3 is another matter. You might build a Duellist in no more than twice the time of the Twin-Air, but I doubt it.

Anyway, PayPal the bucks to John, send me youor phone number, or both.

Bill.

What if I send the funds and you don't receive the email? I PM'ed you with my mailing address and I emailed you from your site Saturday morning in hope to get the "logistics settled" so you could ship as per your PM. I do a fair bit of computing! No one has ever not recieved my email.

John, for some reason or other, gets tons of spam. You are probably running into his filter.

Now. If you really want the plane CALL HIM AND GIVE HIM YOUR PHONE NUMBER. You can give him your plastic number and get the plane on the way immediately.

That is, of course, if you really want the plane.

I sure hope he's not missing out on business because of these filters. I fail to see why I should have to pay more money out with a phone call and, I need the funds to come out of the Paypal acct to stay in the good books with the wife
I wish he was just busy, this all bites

OK, here comes the money [8D]
I am going to go ahead and Paypal the funds right now. I am about to click the button
Worse case scenario he logs into Paypal and sees the funds.........
Do put yourself in my shoes here, two good guys trying to conduct business and his filters are stopping me, I'm not doing wrong! Just trying to get a well respected first Twin.
Here comes the money John!

I started to call John and tell him to check his PayPal account, let the phone ring three times, then realized it's almost midnight in New Hampshire. I'll call him tomorrow if he doesn't post an ack of your order.

And what really bites is having to have a spam filter. Did I hear someone suggest emasculation and/or castration?

Bill.
