I did not do the long wooden dowel thing. I moved the servo closer then used flex rods.

Modded the tail to have two elevator servos (one for each for redundancy), used D-MG16 mini servos

Used ball links for smoother operation

Next problem to solve is the front gear that hits the servo mount when retracted

I searched the thread and saw that some people had to cut off part of the ply mount [link=http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/fb.asp?m=2970034]link 1[/link], [link=http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/fb.asp?m=5198734]link 2[/link]

Any suggestions?

Had to chop some of the front retract mount for the wheel to retract properly.

Also copied the rubber band trick to keep the pull-pull wires out of the way

Maiden time!

The ASP 80 4-stroke engines had been tuned and sync'ed using channel 7 on tx and mix with ch 3. The sync is near-perfect with only 150-200 rpm difference across the various throttle positions.

The plane flies great, like its on tracks. Needs plenty of rudder for turns. The engine harmonics when in tune is a real crowd pleaser

Landing also easy no bad habits just a 1/4 throttle until touch down, no flaps needed.

Very happy, got a great deal on this plane, it did need some work but the result is worth it!

Most if not all tricycle gear planes will lift up on a run stand. You have to give it full down or hook the nose gear to hold it down. Not a matter of CG.
