Default Advanced Scale Models DeHavilland DH-88 Comet: Need Electrical Advice

Just received ASM's beautiful DeHavilland DH-88 kit, WS of 88" and a AUW of 8 lbs. The large motor nacelles can hold a variety
of electric motors and li-poly packs. I NEED YOUR HELP ON OTORS AND APPROPRIATE LI-POLY BATTERIES. What do
you think of some of the following possibilities?:

1)E-Flite BL 60 Outrunner(KV400)
Jeti Advance Plus 45 Opto ESC
Graupner 3-Blade 9X7 Prop
6S TP 4200 Li-Poly
99 watts per lb., 832 watts created
18.4 amp draw
14. min.cruise time
( with Kokam 3200-20C 6S, amp draw is 19.2, produces 106 watts per lb., 864 watts created, 11 min. cruise time)

2)Axi 2826/12(KV730)
Jeti Advance Plus 45 Opto ESC
Graupner 3-Blade 10X7 Prop
4S Kokam 3200-20C Li-Poly
Draws 25.3 amps
Produces 95 Watts per lb., 759 watts created
8.3 min. cruise time
84% motor efficiency

3)Aveox 36/38/3(KV700)
Jeti Advance Plus 45 Opto ESC
Graupner 3-Blade 10X7 Prop
4S Kokam 3200-20C Li-Poly
draws 24 amps
90 watts per lb., 720 watts created
87% motor efficiency
8.5 min. cruise time

OTHER POSSIBILITIES? Greatly appreciate your help in these complex electric
projects.

One easy solution is to get VarioProp ground-adjustable propellers. You can then adjust amp draw and RPM as necessary. It beats purchasing multiple sets of props, and you may find that the best setting is between available pitch settings.

What do you fellows think of the Astro 25G Brushless for the DeHavilland DH-88 Comet? On 5S Kokam 3200-20C the
amp draw is 24.7 amps, producing 114 watts per lb., creating 926 watts, motor efficiency of 95 %, 134 oz. of thrust and
a cruise time of 11.1 min. Note the ECALC 2 spread.
