Default Airborne B-25 plans

I'm thinking about getting a set of B-25 Mitchell bomber plans from
Airborne magazine plan service, just wanted to know if anyone
has built from these plans?

It's 2.2m wingspan
Foam core wings and built up fusealage
2x.46 two stroke
Weight is 6.4kg
7 chan radio.

Thanks, kev

Kev-

Does the plan service also provide for the plastic canopies, turrets, etc?

Clifford-

Very nice photograph of your friend's B-25. Any more that you can post? Also, any details on the tow cart shown in the picture that you can provide as well?

Thanks for your reply Clifford. I would like to know a few things if you dont mind.

#1 What was the end weight of the model?

#2 How does it perform with the two 70s?

#3 What did your friend think of the plans? did he change anything?

#4 How did he cover the plane?

Sorry about all the Questions, i just want to make sure i'm getting the right plans.
I would like this to be a long term project.

Don, i'm not to sure mate, i'll send them an E-mail.

Hi Chaps,
My friend lived in Austraila, before coming home to live again in Northern Ireland..he"s a firefighter in Belfast....when I seen his model...I said...please get me copy...so he did, but I never got round to it...but....after looking at it...I can assure you, that it"s pretty simple...can"t foresee any problems with the build etc....
..I think the weight was around 14-15lbs..??....also...flies very well on two 70 four strokes...I do remember him changing to 3 blade props...he said that it made the engines run just that little bit sweeter...[better balanced??]
On the back of the plan, he"s written a guys name and direct phone number that does cowls.....[his is aluminium!! and are a work of art!!]....I think canopies/turrets come from Airbourne magazine directy...
There"s no detail of the small tractor with bomb trolly though...he built it in his spare time while off sick from work!!!!...but...I can certainly get the hold of him, if anyone wants more details...he"s not on-line at the minute..but is a very, very helpful chap....and only a phone call away....I only have a couple of pics...here"s the other......if any of you go ahead with the build...give me a shout, and I"ll get up to his house with my camera and notebook!!!

Hey ///////|lpine,

I used to fly with the designer of the model down in Melbourne, and it flew really nice. He was never one to baby his models and would throw them around a bit on occasion. So it not like a flying barn door.

From memory, he flew it with 2x .40.

For question #4, the original was covered with dope/tissue then primed/painted with enamels.

thanks
