Hay Alaska Bob,
I wouldn't tell anybody I did a stint flying out of Bethel...I will admit I flew lots of hours there...but what a lusy place to work (and I'm trying to be nice about it). Flying low cover...never...but I did manage to fly low a couple times to get home...and at least I tried not to break to many regs while doing so. I met some really great folks in Bethal flying...still friends with them after seventeen years...and some of the most down to earth and honest foks I ever met anywhere. If it were not for the weather (winter up there seriously sucks), I would still be there. Here in Hawaii...all we get is summer and spring...kind of easy on the body and clothes requiements.
Soft landings always,
Bobby of Maui

Neil - why must you do this to me?!!?? NOT FAIR!
I have to have one now! Any ideas as to what will power this beast as far as range of inrunners. Would it be an idea to only have 2 strong motors run it and the othr 2 just for looks? I know some larger edf's use this method to keep the authenticity in check. Also any ideas on schemes? Id prefer a plain silver one so I could dress it up with my favorite units insignia
5s8000ish battery sound about right? hehe
good luck and look forward to this coming out.

I sent them several e-mails and indicated I wanted a model myself. In fact, I have not ordered any new models because I want this one above all others right now. I pray I'm still on the list. Cedar Hobbies are good guys...so no real concern.

I don't see a problem with the "oversize" engine pods. The late upgraded series have large diameter trubo-fans and therefore much larger pods than the original engines.
Regards the landing gear, I don't believe there was any other gear config than the crosswind gear, 4 sets of two, the B-47 did however have a "bicycle" gear. Hard to believe this bird has been in service for more than 50 years. Anyone know when production stopped.
