Bill is an honest, up front guy. He has bent over backwards for me and many other of his customers to please. He may be on vacation or maybe there is a personal problem going on in his life.
He will absolutely get in touch with you just as soon as he can. Be patient.

Hay Mustang51,
From what I remember, Bill was a good man to deal with. He never did me wrong...and I didn't want you to feel I felt he did. I sent him an e-mail and was wondering if he still was working with the Twinsync. I'll be patient and wait for him to reply to me.
Thanks,
Bob Paris

Anybody know when TBM will have the TwinSync back in stock. I've emailed them twice, but get no reply.

Troy Built has them in stock again. I ordered one to go on the CL-215 I'm building. My idea is to use the Twinsync on a switch to allow me to increase the speed of one engine or the other with the rudder stick to steer the plane when taxiing on the water. Anyone done this? How did it work out?

Hay Robby,
I've sent two PM's to him with no answer. When I asked if he is still in business...I was told to have patience. I've waited now for a month, but no answer from my messages to him.

TBM website still says these are out of stock. I am about to maiden a blown up Bates B-26 of 144 inches. Two Zenoah 80s for power and about 80 pounds. IS this the correct unit for this plane with a Futaba 14 MZ on 2.4.

They had them in stock for 4 or 5 days and now are again out. I got an order in and received it Saturday. Now I need a couple diametric magnets and I'll be in business.....[sm=regular_smile.gif][sm=regular_smile.gif]

OK, I got the magnets, time to get it going..........WRONG.

I can't get the Twin Sync to do anything! When I turn it on, both red and both yellow LEDs stay on constantly. The green ones come on and off depending on the magnets position. Also, one servo oscillates back and forth continually, the other one stays still. This is the same no matter what position the rotary switch is in when I turn it on. I can't even seem to get it to default to the factory settings with position 7. The red and yellow LEDs never blink, they're always on.

So what's wrong here? Is my unit defective? Am I doing something wrong? Please help, I'd like to get this going.

Follow up........

I talked on the phone with Bill and he thought the problem was with the integrated circuit. He sent me a replacement on Tuesday which I received today. I'm happy to say that the the replacement solved the problem and my Twin Sync works great now. Thanks, Bill for the great product and super customer service.

Whew, spent two days going through this thread. Sounds like this niffty device is rather complicated to setup but very popular once running. I read some posts where enhancemetns were being tested/made to plug the twin sync into the tach port of the ignition module. But then I read posts indicating you must use the sensor provided by TwinSync. I've got two new DLE55's with the seperate tach lead coming out of the ignition module. Does TwinSync simply plug into this lead or do I have to mount a seperate pickup to the flywheel? Thanks, Jerry.

One quick question, since I couldn't find any info for it on this thread!!

Can we use the spektrum rev limiter sensors that mount on the engine backplate?

Bill,

I have been researching your product as I am building a b25j 80" wingspan. I am going to put 4 stokes in this bird and have to say WOW that is a great piece of mind product you have there.

I have one question though. As a aircraft mechaninc in real life, Iunderstand the priciples of flight and the characteristics of twin engine flight and what happens when one "flames out". Doing some research about your product and some others that state gyros are the way to go, Ibelieve that having a twin sync onboard for that immediate throttle chop to stop uncontrollable YAW is a necessicity. But if you are some distance away from the field, unable to land imediately due to obstacles such as over the trees, a stream/river between you and the plane, or even a lake with man eating pirannha's hehe. You might have to input some throttle to get back to a safe landing area. While you do have the abilty to throttle up the good engine, you still would produce YAW that of course can be corrected to some extent with rudder inputs. But then again, MAYnot be able to add enough thottle to maintain altitude to get to that safe area, without having YAW that is uncontrollable.

So Ibelieve that in addition to your twin sync the installation of a rudder gyro to assist in the rudder control would be a "total package" Now you have the immediate danger of the Yaw taken care of by the twin sync. And when you throttle it up to maintain some altitude you have the gyro to compensate with rudder inputs allowing the pilot to concentrate on getting the aircraft back to a safe landing area and getting it down safe.

So my question is this. Does the twin sync inputs have that option? Are you/Would you consider adding them in a future update?Or is this overkill and the aircraft is generally under sufficient control enough to get back to a safe area?

Also I expect to be madien flight this plane in the next two weeks. And thewebsite says "out of stock" When do you plan on having them in? Or can I place and order with you directly?

thanks so much

Chris

I'm in the process of building a Top Flite DC-3. As I will be investing a lot of time I would love to employ the TWINSYNC system. Troy Built Models site shows them as out of stock, and I've been checking for the past three weeks. Is this technology still being produced and should I just be patient or is it made on demand and sold directly?  Thank you in advance.
