Hey Andrew,

I met you at the Toronto Hobby show beginning of the month, we discussed about square tip props for my Connie, well tell you the truth, since the launch of Gp Learjet, this is the first time i truly fell in love with a rc plane, its like "Love at first sight", it is just babe of beauti to have in my fleet, i think i am going pass on that Chipmunk inquiry and work towads this baby...all who this its ugly, please get your eye check and glasses changed if you wear them, this is a gem to must have in the fleet....

Can fixed gear version be changed into retract version at later time?, ot ots sort one time shot!....

I hope you eventually find those square tips props for your connie. I think it will be up to you to "craft" something that will work.
I'm glad you like the A500. It will be shipping in about 4 weeks to us and will arrive about the middle of January.

The fixed gear version can certainly be made into a retract model whenever you decide to do it.

From the pics it looks as though it has trailing link landing gear. Is this correct? Is it functional?

Yeah i am working towards finding square tip props, if anyone know where i can find pls pm me, Andrew what type of wing is designed on A500?, is it high lift aerofoils used on it or its high aspect ratio wing...this could be stupid question but i thought to ask.....

I noticed it says "skymaster" on the side of the van.

My flying work companions are interested in the aircraft but we need to know how it comes apart for transportation. Can you include some pictures?

Hi James:

The plane comes apart as follows, wing tips remove, fuse seperates from the centre wing panel, and the centre wing panel with the booms stay attached along with the horizontal stab basically forming a rectangular frame. In all, 4 pieces complete all the parts.

Will it fit in the back of my Subaru Outback wagon?


Sign me up for a A500. If the tail section and center wing section will fit in the back of my outback. I can and will build a PVC rack to hold the remaining peices to assemble it at the field.

The Outback is more than enough space to put all components in. I'll buy it back if it doesn't fit. I'll have the model on display at the WRAM show in NY and also at Toledo. I do expect to have the models in stock by the end of February. I like the new schemes. I am guessing that the planes do not come painted. I have a couple of paterns I am thinking of.

The plane definately does come painted however let me now ASAP... as in within days if you prefer to have one unpainted as they are almost all complete. I should really check with the factory to see if I can still get one unpainted for you if that's what you would rather have.

Well, it doesn't look too bad. But the one thing the Skymaster "Oscar Deuce" has over the A500 is that the O2 is a WARBIRD

Here are the final production pictures of the A500. We are very excited about the new color scheme and also that a new electric version slightly smaller will also be offered in about 3 months. We will post those details later in the electric forum.

The first batch is scheduled to arrive about March 22nd. We just received notice from the shipping company that the vessel was delayed leaving the port in Hong Kong. Everything was backed up as a result of Chinese New year.

Got to hand it to you Andrew. You take chances and offer some very one off type airplanes. The only thing I have to copmplain about is that you didn't provide wing loading and wing area. I know that one should just assume that it flies great but I am a numbers kind of guy. can't help my self

I got my A500 last Thursday. Myself and the rest of my work crew are drooling over this airplane and
I cannot wait to see it in the air. This is a lot bigger than I expected and I like it for that. The I am stoked
that someone made and aircraft with this quality. I was hoping to install a make shift interior to resemble
the real thing but I do not know if I can get my fingers in the fuselage to do so. I have not stopped smiling
since it was delivered.

For those of you that care about numbers: THis information can be obtained from the instructions that
are posted on the KMP website.

Wing loading: 53.7 oz/sq. ft.
Wing area: 5.25 sq. ft. (756 sq in if my math is correct)
Flying weight: 17.64 lbs. (282 ozs. if my math is correct)

P.S. This is my airplane. Not the companies. I might loan it to them when completed so they can take it
to a show or but I really want to see it fly. I will have to get some pictures posted of it so everyone else
can see the product you put out. If I can figure out how to do a post, maybe I will do a construction post
with pictures as I love the way this plane looks.
