B25's Show us what you built!
Just finishing up my Wing Mfg B25. I have a few very minor things to do before the maiden. Anyone else building a B25? Lets see some pics!

Fili:
That's sort of the main question anymore isn't it? Building a kit vs. buying an ARF.
My Wing B-25's still in the box. I still have to paint and finish both a T-28 Trojan and a V-35 Bonanza, then I'll probably start the Mitchell. Unless, of course, sanity takes hold and I build another little OV-10 Bronco to practice flying a twin so there's a reasonable probability of success flying the B-25.
Your B-25 looks great. Hope your maiden and all subsequent flights go well.

To Fili ...Does anyone build any more?? Good point..in my case will admit that most..not all, ARF's are better built than I can or will take the time to do. VQ offers some of their larger models as ARC, so you can finish it as you like, but still save HUNDREDS of hours building the basic airframe, while others that are discussed in length here and other forums, you might as well strip the covering and start over anyway..but for those specials..like a certain obscrure 8 engine bomber,,well, options are limited.

The B-25s look great-
I am considering putting together a Wing Mfg B-25. Those of you who have built
one--were you pleased with the kit? Wondering also about the plans/parts and if there
is a set of instructions to assist in the build. How the airplane does off of a grass
strip and if flaps are necessary are a few other things.
Thanks for any help-
Pete

Very nice!!!! So nice, that except for the cyl heads and mufflers sticking out (a necessary evil, I know.....) almost looks like the real thing..... Very impressive detailing, especially the interior....

The two pictures are of a Ziroli 118" B-25 belonging to Charlie, a flying buddy of mine. It is powered by a pair of Fox 4.2 (I'm guessing on the size) engines and it flies very realistically. Charlie owns several giant scale aircraft but he says the B-25 impresses him the most. My other flying buddy is in the finishing stages on his 118" Mitchell and it may fly before the year is out.
I'm the one talking formation flying to these two guys. Maybe I'm the one who ought to be getting with the program with a B-25 of his own. [sm=72_72.gif]

Thanks for your replies and photos Guys!
I love the building aspect, but I do understand sometimes one just dosent have the time, or space to build. Every flier should build at least one kit, just to learn the in's and out's of the airframe, and how to repair your bird if and when necessary. Anyhoo...I just ordered the servo extensions and three bladed props I need to get her ready for the maiden. I also found her to be tail heavy, so I have to move the battery. I have a busy weekend ahead, so it looks like next week to get her in the air.

Maiden flight was a sucess. The Wing Mfg B25 is a smooth flier. Can't wait till this weekend to get another couple of flights in.

Well I'm getting mine back together after my maiden[:'(] Needed a little more power. Also Santa Claus is getting me another one for Christmas. So now I'm going to have to collect some more funds for the retracts. As far as power I will either go with either GMS 71 or SK 70s. Both have enough power and a pits muffler will fit in the cowel. Also I will have my aircooler flaps working again too. These were tied in with the throttle sos when the throttle was at an idle they are wide open and as you advanced the throttle they would close. Hope to have the second one maybe flying by late summer

I used robart pin hindges on mine just didn't have enought horse power to fly down wind stalled a wing [:@] Caught that but she imediatly stalled the right wing and spun in. She is just about rebuilt now and she will have either GMS 60s or SK70s on her this time. Also Santa Claus is sending me another wing B-25 Fili hope you get one soon and start building the kit soon. If I can get a friend of mine to help me post some pictures. I will post my aircooler flaps in the open and closed positions. Looks realy neet watching them open and close with the throttle.
