Default 81" OV-10 BRONCO

Routing PCM antenna in 3 section wing. I could thread the antenna into the outter wing (each time I assemble the wing), or I could semi-permanately run the antenna through the main wing section and 90 degree it down the "engine pod". Not sure what effect bending the antenna 90 degrees has on RX reception. Comments?

Has any one used a short loaded antenna (simular to one used on helicopters) mounted in the aft end of the cockpit? If so any problems?

The short loaded antennas don't have quite as good as range as the the full length antennas. In the case of a helicopter the difference is irrellevant but helis aren't flown that far away any way but if you are used to flying your plane quite a ways out it could make a differecnce. [8D]

Receiver antenna should never be placed in a wing. It should always be at right angles to the transmitter. The scale location for the antenna on an OV-10 is an excellent placement location for your receiver antenna.
