ANDREW thanks for all you do, a few ?...
1. Is the CL215 an ARF or kit, whats in the box and work to be done, is it painted etc...
2. What is the max prop diameter allowed?
3. Is there any hope you would do a Grumman Goose or Wigeon or Albatross? PLEASE
4. I was just getting ready to order a yellow Beaver and they were switched to the new scheme and composite, can the yellow one be purchased?
5. #3 AGAIN, PLEASE

Hi Greg:

1, Yes totally ARF, fully covered and painted. Only decals need to be applied and basic assembly
2, I think 14 inch props are as big as you need to go. 14's are about scale...that's what I used for the pictures on the website
3, Goose and Catlina on the table now.
4, We may actually have one Yellow Beaver left in stock. We found a few last week (I think 3) I know we sold some since then.

Cheers,

Hi:
Nothing short of 80 inches! I'm always open to paint shcemes... send me the ones you would like to see.
Lets keep this thread going on the CL215 for now. We can always start another one on the goose.

CL 215 Looks like a nice plane . 80 inch wing , I like the size. One issue though, why do these type planes (PBY Catalina included) have such a short tail moment? Is that how the scale one looks? . Looks like the fuse length is not much more than 50 inches...Can we stretch that fuse a little???

HI: IF you watch the video on our website you will see that the plane flies very well. I have flown the plane personally and it tracks very true with no bad tendencies. It actually is quite a FLOATER...no pun indended. There really is no need to stretch the plane as it flies very well and it is quite scale in proprotion as you see it.[8D]

Do you think the OS MAX .46 2 stroke would work? Any chances of getting a white one for my own custom paint?

I emailed with KMP earlier today and there will be another delay on delivery. I do not know how long though. I hope they get here soon because it's float flying season here already

My LHS said that they had to rewrite the manual or translate something different. I will not see one until April or May. That sucks[&o]

Was now told that they would not be in until June or July. Chose to go with the Cessan 185 on floats. Hope to get it all assembled by May long week-end for the local float fly. This is the all composite one. It is a very nice aircraft.

I emailed them last week and was told that the shipment has left the factory and on it's way. Was also told that we could expect them in 4-6 weeks which puts it around mid to end of July. I am guessing customs takes a while but that is my speculation...not KMP's.

Good News:

I can confirm they are finaly on the water slowly chugging their way here. I will post an arrvial date with +- 5 day accuracy by the end of the week. Almost always it takes about 4 weeks to sail over and another few days to clear customs.

Thanks to everybody for hanging in there. It will be well worth your wait.[8D]

Hello Andy,

I opened the huge box yesterday to inspect the kit. There was absolutely no damaged and it was packaged very well. The kit is of high quality and should assemble fast. I looked over the manual and here it is a little lacking but not too bad. Someone who has put together a few ARF kits should have no problems.

I look forward to the assembly of the kit sometime next week.

That's great news! It really flies well and can be slowed down to surprisingly slow airspeeds for landing.

To my surprise they did not include the new version of the manual that Paul and I worked very hard to re-write. We will post the newer version on our web site shortly.
