Default Another C310

With all the new popularity the Cessna 310 seems to be enjoying, I thought I'd show some pix of my new one. It's a "B" model as I prefer the straight tail version to the swept fin of the later models. 56" span, 52 oz. RTF, electric-powered and finished in the Sky King "Songbird" scheme.

Is there a scale "Penny" in the cockpit? Good looking model.

Not yet, just finshed modifying a Williams Bros. pilot by adding a 10 gallon hat and wall to wall smile for Sky.
Thanks!

Not at the moment but it will be presented as a construction article in Model Airplane News. No firm date as yet. I'll have a plastic part set available; canopy, nose cap, tip tanks. For electric fliers, the cabin section removes for battery access.

Just put the first three flights on the 310. Flies better than I hoped. Very smooth, moderate roll rate, breaks ground in about 15 feet (very un-scalelike!) and slows down/lands very gently. Fits in the car fully assembled too!

Got a short video now but I can't get it to upload here on the video section of RCU. Must be doing something wrong!

Please tell about the size, power requirements, etc.

SWEET LOOKING PLANE!

Here's a link to the video. Crummy day, hope to fly it again this weekend under better WX conditions.

Looked nice in the video. I had no idea who you were. Your name just stirred up a bunch of dust and cobwebs in my old head.

Another Killer model from Mr. Uravich! Nice - I didn't know your handle either. I'm POSITIVE it's a good plane, and will build and fly well. I've scratchbuilt Rich's designs before, the most memorable I think was the small Extra 300 that the plans were included in an issue of Model Airplane News back in the 90's. That was such a great little plane.

Yes - I will buy the plans and any plastic/glass parts and put it in the building queue ASAP.

I'm currently working on the Top Flite 310 now...so this will be a nice "jr." version to fly, with no worries about dead engines
Very cool, I'm looking forward to a real building project, not just an "assembling" project.

Cya
Mark
