Default C 131 from M.A.N. plans

Has anyone ordered the plans for this plane? I was courious if it had a constant cord wing. Thanks Rich

Hey Rich,

If its scale model or designed as scale model then why would it have constant chord wing?

I'd be surprised if it's a constant chord wing design but by looks of the pictures seen so it aint constant chord wing on it...

Rich, I read the construction article on the Convair, and the designer said he enlarged the wing area slightly by increasing the wing chord. I don't think he made it constant chord - the full-size planform is a high-aspect ratio tapered wing.

The Convair has been modeled before - Eddie Putnam did a CV-580 electric some years back (he fudged on the wing too!) My choice would be the similar appearing but actually quite different Martin 404. I've never see that one as an R/C model...Russ Farris

Thanks Guys . I didn't see the wing plan so I couldn't tell. It does make for a nice looking model. Rich
