Ty, Do you have any pics of the finished nose turret? Do you provide any detail for the tail turret? Thanks, looks great. You know what would be cool would be a styrene sheet with the interior of the bomb bay doors detail.

You know I did not do anything to the turrets. I started to do something but everything inside was black . Looking at them even in light the detail would be hard to see. I have found that it would be a difficult to move kits for the turrets. I have not done anything to the bamb bay doors either. I may look into that when I get a chance to start putting my lancaster together..But that would be easy to at anytime. I have 3 planes in line right now.

Guys,

Check out those guns, I'm detailing all guns station and as funny as it may seem the aluminium guns are lighter than the resin or wood.

Love your work Normand.

I´ve installed a sound system in it,looking forward to hear it when the sun comes back.
My B17 is also ready but not flown yet, that one has saito 62:s so lets hope it will be as nice to fly as the Lanc!

hey Ty, I have a TF B25 and it figures to 1/10.8 on the wingspan and the B-17 is 1/9.6 so they are pretty close in scale by wingspan...I dont know why i posted this??

Default RE: ASM Lancaster?

here are some true scale landing gears:

I have designed and reproduced on solidworks a true scale set of landing gears. I also programmed my cnc mill to reproduce all the components of the Lancaster Landing gear. Here are some parts already made and part of mthe upcoming assembly.

The designing and milling is still going on but I should be able to post a completed and assembled set in a week or two. really a lot of work!!! Those gears will come through!

Bokis, you built a B-17 with Saito 62's and never even posted on photo of your build? [&o] You realize this makes us Blood Brothers! Id love to see how you set yours up. When I get home next weekend I will post some photos of the inner nacelle set up on mine. Im running Saitio 62's with straight pipes for exhaust with 90* elbows, duel filters and a Quadsync.

Stop by the other thread and share some photos and info. Please?!

You can find some pictures of it here: http://www.rcflyg.se/forum/showthread.php/27274-B-17-½-(nästan-lookalike-på-långt-håll)
The only thing I´ve added is brakes and it took me a while to find a good regulator so i can adjust them the way i want.

Ty, I have had the same issue with oversized photos. Its a pain. You have to delete them and then repost them in the editor. Sometime I have to do it three or four times per post but the web site soon gets it right.

I figured it out. The larger ones are the ones I uploaded with really large files. Now I make sure they are all under 250kb and don't have anymore trouble.....

How about a set of landing gears like this for the lancaster.

I just finished making those retracts 500+ hrs but when you look at it this is the real thing for the Lancaster.
