Not a member of the brotherhood but almost finished collecting the pieces and parts to start construction. Trying to find the color scheme was the big hold up but the search is over.

Navy Songbird based out of Peter O Knight airport Tampa FL. Visited the plane for pictures while at Top Gun.

See post #1 on first page of this thread to become a member.

In the photo of the Navy "Songbird" it looks like a mix of parts from different 310
models, as the tip tanks are from the earlier and of the first USAF designated
"Songbird" but the vertical fin and rudder with the more pointed nose and forward
angle of the nose gear are from a later version of the 310.

It is a 310F model. The owners have the purchase documents from when the Navy bought the bird from Cessna.

Hi everyone, My name is Brian. I've been modeling most of my life. Radio control began in 1981 after college graduation. I've gone thru the 40 to 60 size planes and quickly took an interest in giant scale.
Now most of my planes are of the gas motor powered revolving around the G-62 size motor. My latest
project is a Ziroli Zero. I'm in the painting stages now. In the mean time I have started to accumulate
the necessary items to build a Cessna 310. I have plans and instructions for the Nosen model and I have bought the glass fuse, nacelles, cowls, and tip tanks from G & L hobbies.
I'm breaking in a couple of G-23's for power. I have retracts and wheels/brakes for the model.
The model is a future project and I look for ward to working on it.
I've scrolled thru this thread and I've made a lot of notes on the many discussions on the progress of
the 310's being built or have been built. A wealth of info is available.

When I get started with my project I will post pics of the progress as I go along.

Happy to be on board.
Brian

wonder why G&L hobbies is "not sending outside US." - do we have to wait for TTIP to be signed ?
The CYMODEL Cessna 310 also looks good - does anybody have experience with it ?

Brian I think Greg prefers not to ship out of the US for shipping prices are so high and most of his items are oversize the cost would be high.

I can tell you that I was asked to send my fiberglass fuselage & other parts to Australia and the cost were
prohibitive, the weight was around the 15 pound mark, but the volume was 20 cu. ft., cost would have been
over $500 US Dollars on UPS including insurance and that was about a year ago. You might be better off
building the balsa fuselage.............

Texas RC Planes carries this model, there are a couple of videos on their
site that show the plane, check it out, a bit on the pricy side:
http://texasrcplanes.com/ce31012f.html

Just a stones throw from you in Diboll, Tx., give them a call, can't remember the
guy's name that owns it but he is always available to talk about his products.

Hi all,

Selling a bud nosen kit, anyone ever seen one come in two boxes? The boxes are like new condition and look like they belong together but no label on the second box and I hate to give away a 2nd kit by mistake.

Please advise!
Thank you!

I was looking at your profile and was wondering where the club is where you fly? I just moved back to the area in Oct. I lived on the southeast side for almost 20 years. But I didn't fly then.

I took advantage of the 310 for sale. Going to use some of the parts to duplicate
for an existing project.
