You mean that there is actually a forum for R/C surface sailing? with 68 posts!

RCU Admimistrators please help us, we have held two R/C skydiving Rallys at the AMA field in Muncie 2001,2002 and the 2003 rally was at the Henry Co. Wright Flyers field about 20 miles away. We hope to get to return to the AMA site for 2004 (September).

There is also one the the works for Spring 2004 in western NC, Bryson City area.

There was even an R/C Skydiver drop made at the 2003 Joe Nall, and hopefully again in 2004.

There is a R/C Skydiver hanging in the AMA Museum.

Hi Gary, I think R/C Skydiving starts out with R/C. I believe we use a radio control transmitter to control our skydivers. So why aren't we part of the hottest web site for Radio Control??? Inside R/C TV is even going to come to our next Rally in the spring to do a segment on R/C Skydiving!!! Why does it seem so hard to promote our part of R/C????

Hi Guys,

Nice to have a place where we can discuss our phase of the hobby.

I have five R/C jumpers and three jump planes. Always interested in attending any future skydiver events. Been to Muncie twice and New Castle this past fall. Maybe we can get my good friend Jim Boone up here to Yankee Land or maybe at least to North Caroline or Virginia

Having a R/C Skydiving forum sounds GREAT. A Spring or early Summer Rally in NC sounds great, I will attend with my two skydivers and launch planes. Going to Mulbery ,Fl this weekend for a giant scale Fun Fly. Plan to jump one of my skydivers there.

Look on solomonrc.com to see a bunch of skydiving pictures. I have 9 Robbe "Charlies" r/c skydivers and a Paramax "Mike" skydiver. I use a Stinger and a beefed up Telemaster with a Sato 180 for power to make drops. Have made 7 skydiver mass jumps to start the noon demonstration and airshow at Frank Tiano's Top Gun competition in '02 and '03. May go back in '04 if invited. "Mike" is rigged to have a US flag trailing below with the sound system playing "She's a Grand Old Flag". A real crowd pleaser! I now have one Robbe skydiver rigged to trail smoke from the foot on jumps. We can't let the real skydivers outdo us!
Jump into R/C Skydiving with the rest of us----it's a real blast and a bunch of fun!!!
Paul, I may even make the treck to the rally at AMA next year to see how ya'll do things in Yankee land! Will make the Spring Bryson City rally if there are no conflicts with my schedule.

Hello, R/C skydiving friends. Hope to see more and more people get into R/c skydiving. Lots of fun!
I hope everyone is thinking about going to the Rally that Ken solomon is trying to get togather in the spring. If everything works out with work(may have a new job soon,no vac to go), anyway! I will be there. I fill like another bulls eye is in the making.(ha,ha,ha) Just to let everybody know I'm making a video cd of the 2003 skydive rally. Gary took 37min, and I took 23min. of video so the vcd will be over 30min. long. I hope to have it done this weekend.

Hey Guys, I'm Not to fast on the computer but I think i figured out how to size my pics. Hope they come out OK. I put some of them up under the topic" Skydiving Info" in the Unusual R/C section and some here. I hope to have an answer from the club real soon on our spring rally date. I'll let you know soon.

Hi Guy's and Gal's,
Well here we are again!! Another year is almost gone since Joe Noll 2003. The responce from us being at Joe Noll 2003 was so good Ive decided instead of doing a spring Rally at this time we should focus on putting on a big demo at Joe Noll 2004 at least Fri. and Sat.. I'm going to contact the guys who wanted to do the TV spot on R/C Skydiving and see what they think. This is the ultimate place to get R/C Skydiving out to the modeling community. What I would really like to see is a R/C Skydiving booth set up under our 18' x 30' tent with all the guys who are producing Skydivers working together to promote R/C Skydiving. Last year only one drop was made at half time and we were swamped for the next two days answering questions at our skydiving booth. If we can make a mass drop ( I will have the 4 to 6 man drop plane done!!! Maybe even two ) we can even try for a record. Who has ever made a mass drop of radio control skydivers. Maybe even Jim Boone can come with his four man drop plane. 12 to 16 skydivers in the air all at once!! Just think of the pile-up on the landing spot!!!!

Hope I haven't missed anythng, I will be under going surgery this Wednesday for leg surgery in the hopes they can repair my leg. If not I guess I might be force to have a plastic one. Hope to see you all soon that is if Bob take sme with him.
