segway idea
i'm sure you all know about the segway (the self balancing electric scooter) well i have been thinking of applying inexpensive RC electronics to a segway type device....this would just be a fun side project and i was looking for some input.... i was thinking of 2 options
1) using an electronic interface like the the ones found at [link]http://www.innovationfirst.com[/link] and using standard gyros and writing programs to interact with the gyro signal..but unfortuatly i am unsure of the signal that the gyro sends (+/- or -1 /+1) so any help on this would be appreciated
2) i was trying to figureout how to "hardwire" it so that the gyros would control it all such as the gyro connected to a speed controler but i am unsure the configuration that would be required.......
thanks in advance for your help and i hope i gave you all a good idea of what i am trying to achieve

This guy cloned a Segway and has lots of useful information about the process.
