The upgraded parts helps so much its definately worth it.

Nice boat you have for sale.
Do you have any photos of the inside/set-up?

The next boat I was thinking about is the proboat blackjack 55.

You probably could make the parts but I have no clue how since mine were bought RTR which I regret since they needed to be rebuilt from being damaged from shipping.
It took me months & many hours to get them to run decently. []
For me if I have to tinker with them much I no longer want to even see them anymore,Thats why I started into gasoline boats and gasoline rc.
I have a health condition that gets worse under stress thats why I give-up often.

Your sled is the newer version(Fuel proof) which seems like a decent deal.
The upgrades works very well since it handles alot better but that depends how you will run it.
Another issue is the track collecting snow,Thats where the GT system is best.
If you email Peiro with the items you desire he will give you a discount since the season is nearly over.

They mainly are made for packed snow.
Powdery snow will most likely be a problem unless you have the GT system with a studded track with wide skis which might help but I doubt it.
Today we got about 3-4 inches of soft snow.
The studded GT system blue sled goes through it okay and the basic set-up purple sled will barely move since it sinks/spins.
In a parking lot both runs pretty decent.

GT = Gearless Track

This track has been designed to eliminate the collection of snow in the drive system. We have also incorporated a deep lug track.
The thinner membrane is more flexible, giving less stress to the engine when operating under extremely cold weather.

Gearless Track Pulley, Designed to eliminate the collection of snow between the track and the pulley, a clean drive system will minimize your clean up time and prolong the life of your engine.

I was in the process of building an Art Attack Nitro Snowmobile that I got last year at my LHS.

I'm having trouble installing the stock clutch on my .26 engine.

It looks like the clutch nut can't be threaded onto the engine shaft unless I cut off the portion of the shaft beyond the threads. Is this correct or am I doing something wrong. When I place the clutch nut on the shaft in its stock condition, the threads on the clutch nut don't reach the threads on the engine shaft which is why I'm thinking about cutting off the shaft just after the threads.

Here are some pics:

Looks like you need to cut the smooth section off the shaft.

I should have taken a photo of the rc boat collection I had.
My mother was not too happy seeing them stacked along the basement wall.

Thanks for the advice MsDarla. I do think the shaft has to be cut off and then I can thread on the nut to complete the clutch assembly.

Alex Hockey, that sled on ebay is pretty neat and quite unusual. Looks very similar in design to the Art Attack.

I think the reserve is a little too optimistic (he listed it as $1500 further down in the listing). I think you could build something significanlty more superior with that amount money. A gas engine will only run you in the $300 range for 20+ cc's so it doesn't quite add up.

Gasoline engine rc snowmobile would be awsome compared to whats on the market.
The one on ebay I remember the guy who built it to be durable & one of a kind only a few built since it was custom built.
