Default Pterosaur documentary

For those that may be interested, a National Geographic Documentary on pterosaurs (aka flying dinosaur) is airing this weekend. Part of the documentary focuses on the effort to build a realistic R/C replica of a pterosaur, based on fossil and paleontological data. Airs Sunday Jan 22nd 9PM EST, 6PM PST.

There were several ptero kits available for slope soaring a few years ago, all scale with spans of 36"-70". The kits were made in Germany, I don't know if they're still available.

Same old slope kit story; If you want it BUY IT NOW, because it might not be available tomorrow.

Unfortunately, what you see is where it left off. The flapper version was a last minute effort for filming. The glider model actually flew REALLY great until they wanted to add the fur for filming. Of course, that was not shown in the documentary. Definitely a great experience and very neat project to be given the opportunity to work on. Hopefully, one day we can take it to the next level.
