Nitro hovercraft
yea thats my new plan. Ive made them before from scratch, using trash bag for the skirt and styrofoam. the batteries were heavy and diddnt last long. Im possibly getting an O.s .10 something that has 17000 rpm. it will turn an 8 inch prop. im also looking for a ducted fan type equipment, then ill make thrust vectoring. half of the thrust from the prop will be directed down for lift, and the rest for control. Post some helpful ideas

RE: Nitro hovercraft
I have a glow fuel hovercraft that has a .61 O.S. engine swinging a 12x6 prop. It is an older kit from a company called Marauder. It is metal construction with foam underside for floating on water. It has heavy fabric skirt. I have been trying to find someone else interested in these things for a possible trade. You can view it on my gallery at RCU.

RE: Nitro hovercraft
I have one tip to offer from experiance - 6mm MDF DOES NOT make a good material for a prototype. It did work, but very slowley. It could have partly been the engine was revving to about 6000 instead of 12000.
