Hovercraft compatible rc equipment.

Hi All,

I am a newbie here, so please don`t get too technical.

Basically, I am thinking of trying to build a model hovercraft (Mark Porters Griffon 2000 TDX), & I am trying to get an estimate on the costs with regards to the most expensive parts of the electrics.

I have a Futaba Skysport RC system, & understand that I need to change the crystals for boat usage, but can anyone give me advice on a suitable & cheap Futaba compatible motors, speed controllers & 8.4 Nimh power packs?

Ideally, I would like 2x 600 motors, & 2x Speed controllers, & also 2x 8.4 power packs that I can simply plug in to the Futaba Rx, but I am worried with regards to speed controllers after reading that they can overheat if they are not the correct ones, but this is slightly foreign to me how to make sure I obtain the correct ones!

If anyone can advise then I would be most grateful, & thank you in advance.

Hoverglide.

Hi Hover Tim,

Thank you for your reply, that is a huge help, & also many thanks for the contact offer!

I am still in the process of trying to find the best deals on the parts needed, & also trying to obtain a couple of tools that would make building a hovercraft much easier, but hopefully I should be able to make a start soon.

The 2 model hovercraft pictured are great, & I love the detail!

Many thanks again.

Ian.
