Well apparently it can run over lots of diffrent surfaces. Concrete/ asphelt would be best but the vid shows it on dirt aswell, Axon put a thread over at RCgroups.com and said that it will be able to go over snow, ice and Water if you waterproof the electrics, anyhow i will pop axon an email as i too am interested if it can run over grass.
According to the site it wont be in stock till october 1st[:@] saving time tho i guess. Anyhow i managed to find some specs on the Base Vehicle: Description: The Axon Razorback model is the first Anti-Gravity Racer RC vehicle. ORIGINAL: Technex Looks cool, I would get one if it runs good on grass, doesn't look like the skirt is big enough though :(. Well if you read the description, it really doesn't have a skirt. It has a hard shell to contain the lift air. Yes, they say it will run over water if you waterproof the electronics, but they don't recomment it. And if you do, you should rebalance it to put more of the weight towards the rear, rather then the front like it is now. They also mention to replace the skid after 300 to 500 runs. So it is kind of a hovercraft, but not exactly. |
RE: NEW Axon Razorback Anti grav racer
its looks like something from back to the future!!!!!! thats awsome!!!!!!

RE: NEW Axon Razorback Anti grav racer
Not bad looking, though seems more like a novelty to me. Maybe I'm missing something but I'd still prefer a normal electric or nitro on-road if I wanted to run around the parking lot. It may have some interesting modding potential though, maybe throw in an absurdly powerful fan unit :D
A bit pricey too, but hopefully more information will come out. |

Heyall.
Josh from axon racing just posted this vid of the axon over grass, it runs quite well. http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showt...8#post10882587 Also a new version is being relesased instock december, called the Razorback LV - Lite version. It features brushed motor EDF's instead of the brushless ones. Its 100 off the price of the standard Razorback but still reaches some insane speeds. |
