Default Stinger 120 80'

Hey Guys,,,I'm new to gas,,,just got a Stinger 120 80' wing & a Zenoah G-38,,the plane is built,, less covering mounting the eng & servos @ a divorce sale.....The Guy said with that engine it would have un-limited 3-D capability.....What if I don't want that much HP...What's the low end on the gas spectrum,,,I have some other engine that I could have converted that are smaller...

Jeez, why not a chevy small block?
I still have my 120 stinger in the box waiting for me to start the build. Had one earlier with a Saito 150 on it and that was plenty.
For gas, I'd suggest a G-23 or G-26.
Remember this isn't the full size Stinger. Back in the day, those were powered by G-38's, until some clown went to a G-62. Now guys think they have to have all the power in the world to fly.
Of course if you fly 3D, then maybe a turbine would be nice...............................

Thanx Mike,,that's what I thought also,,, that the G-38 might be a little over-kill since I already have a G-26 & a 32 I could monut on the plane...

A DLE 30 would work, and be lighter than the G38. Don't expect too much 3D from a Stinger. All transmiters these days have a stick on the left that is used for the throttle. Contrary to what some flyers believe, you DO NOT have to fly full throttle all of the time.
