Default Flying using a VPP system - switch or lever

Does the plane fly normal in every respect until you use the pitch change. Is the pitch change controlled by a switch or the left throttle lever? On my Realflight it seems as the Vpp is controlled by a toggle switch. You put throttle lever down and flip the top toggle switch for full reverse. Is this the way it should be?

No. Throttle stick should control the pitch.

Forward stick position = forward pitch
center position = 0 pitch
Back position = reverse
